Hopefully the offense can have a huge night because it doesn't look like Dickey brought his A game. Ugly start for him this season.

Yes, as a baseball player he is a straight up POS. A pathetic gimmick pitch he can't control, that gets smashed in the AL East. His velocity on his fastball isn't enough to have a second pitch anymore, and it's basically batting practice for AL East teams. He also costs the Jays a valuable bench shot with his ridiculous need for Thole to catch every second pitch that isn't a home run.

You can dislike a player but I don't think you need to be so extreme. A 'POS' is a little much.

Agree to disagree. I think that is a pretty good characterization of Dickey's contributions to the Jays over his tenure.

If I have to listen to this guy say after this game "You know, the ball wasn't moving today" even if the Jays win, I may have an aneurysm. The guy might be the nicest guy in the world off the field (which it seems he is), but that's not what he gets paid millions of dollars for.

Find a different way to criticize the player

Jays getting contact on Porcello. I don't think he will have as much luck 2nd time through the order. Really need R.A. to lock it down and keep the Boston lead to 3 or 4 runs.

It must be so frustrating being on that Jays bench knowing you are 4 pitches from disaster at all times with Dickey on the hill. Combined that with just giving people bases on passed balls.......

RA had a horrible first half last season too. Well, maybe not horrible but he got no run support. He absolutely went on a tear in the second half though once he got run support.

Still though, glad this season will be the last for him in a Jays uni.

One problem with the knuckleball too is it's hard for Thole to frame when it's so unpredictable. A few nice pitches tonight that Thole had to stab at that were in the strike zone but didn't look like a strike. Kind of frustrating. Not that Dickey has been great or anything, just an observation.

JD hits it to the deepest part of the outfield, too bad, nice hit.

Even if he gets better though, he's still completely unpredictable. It really blows my mind why the Jays went after him. With the package they gave, they could have got a consistent ace. Probably came down to term and money given it's Rogers.

His bat sucks, but holy moly Tulo is some kind of good in the field. Makes some of those plays look so easy.

Just that little double clutch from Thole probably gave Ortiz that extra millisecond.
