Yeah definitely. It was nice seeing a variety of top players, compared to this domination.

Pretty epic tie-breaker that Nestor/Stepanek just won 13-11 to take the first set in their doubles semi-final match.

And Kerber earns the right to lose to Serena.

Well, we have one Canadian into a final at the Aussie Open as Nestor/Stepanek advance with a 7-6(13) 6-4 win.

Roof open, and its cold. Federer might not win 10 games this match.

They said it on the broadcast, but the Aussie schedule is such that everything past the fourth round is at night, making it mild and slower courts, which is ideal conditions for Novak. It's what makes him so unbeatable down there, and of course the only time he struggled this tournament was during the day when the heat can get to him. Milos and Andy are playing the consolation match tomorrow, neither has a chance.

I'm gonna say this is the best match Novak has ever played. He might have 5 bad shots all match.

I've never seen any tennis player at the level Novak is right now. I don't even think Federer is playing poorly.

Well so much for the crowd not getting into it. Then again I didn't think it would be this lopsided.

Cruel net clip and Djokovic should seal this.

And Capriati for a while too. It's not so much the dominance per se, it's the particular brand of dominance. Serena's just a genetically superior human being in terms of tennis; it's almost not fair, as if it's an adult playing against teens.
Watching Roger play in his prime was a matter of just pure skill - even in a straight sets win you'd see a bunch of stuff that was totally unexpected just because you didn't think it was possible to do what he was doing. The result would be predictable but you'd still spend half the match shaking your head in disbelief. I think that's why that was entertaining.

i'm excited for Nestor on this.
I don't think he made it past the 4th round at a major last year. At his age, this is a fantastic result.

The thing in women's tennis that has somehow deteriorated is the serve. I'm not sure why this has happened. The players mentioned above (Capriati, Clijsters, Davenport, Henin, Hingis and even Venus) had decent to good serves. Obviously not as good as Serena's but enough to trouble Serena on returns.
Today nobody except Serena can serve worth a damn. Sharapova, Radwanska, Wozniacki all the way down to Bouchard have terrible serves that Serena just punishes.
Vika is the only other player with a decent serve and game. Lisicki has a great serve but can't do anything else.
