This is an exciting game. Fast, hitting, loads of chances. I love playoff hockey, I hope the Jets win.

The White Out is diminished by the blue shoulders and arms on the new jerseys. Great crowd though. Happy for them to be back in this position.

Next game they should give out white hats and wigs instead of shirts, then it would be a lot more white!

All completely suspect source, I know.
I went to a couple big games in Calgary in 2004, and while the crowd was awesome and loud, Carolina was much louder. They have a metal roof that was designed to reflect sound for NC State games, plus a crowd that tailgates all day for night games. There were points it would get so loud that it didn't even sound like crowd noise any more, just distorted white noise that would get pretty unsettling.
|
I'm sure acoustics in arenas is a big factor in crowd noise. 15,000 should not be louder than 19,000.

The MTS center sounds louder than the Saddledome was on tv last night. But neither compared to minny tonight when I was watching that game. (All on tv of course)

there are so many factors involved but at a certain point you just say they are both ####ing loud you can't really measure it
two loudest buildings in the playoffs for sure

It's crazy how loud Seattle is in the open air stadium. I've never had my ears ring so much after the games there.

Calgary noise is limited by roof design, sound doesn't echo as well.
Would have loved to hear that 2004 crowd in a building with decent acoustics.
I want this game to go to OT and for the Jets to win then, that would be a loud building.

White out worked better when the home team wore white...fans are all dressed like the Ducks
can't mess with tradition though I guess

Stempniak with a big game for the Jets. A big goal and just threw a huge hit.
Hopefully somewhere Ricardow was watching and blew a gasket leading him to a series of number-crunching meltdowns using his RGI-index excel sheets.

That would be an intense series to be a pest player. I don't think Kesler is having a good time. Great to see.

They're chanting "Katy Perry"? That's awesome.

That is one thing the Jets fans have succeeded at this year, their ability to get random chants started.
Smaller building might help in that regard.

The only thing I'm jealous of from their fans, the only chants we get at the dome are either Go Flames Go or a goalie chant
Though making fun of the guy that has so far dominated your team may not be the best way to go
