To add to that, Bennett's gas tank is full compared to everyone else too. He could potentially carry the Fronts all the way to the Mem cup final on his back.

Goal being reviewed would have been his fourth point. Was disallowed. Hat trick through two periods. Fronts up 4-0.

He had a bit of an adjustment period, getting 4 points in his first 3 games.

In March, he has 10G, 6A, 16P in 6 games. 2.67PPG

Okay, the Flames must DEMAND Bennett sit out for the rest of the year.
He has proven his points.
We need him well rested for playoffs

Bennett with a sick pass for an assist after almost scoring fourth goal earlier in the shift.

That is how a winner responds to a demotion.

Ridiculous point production, especially when you consider he's on a team that wasn't even going to make the playoffs before he re-joined them.

We'll never know now, and I get the "play it safe" aspect of things.......but IMO Sam would have done well with an AHL conditioning stint, and been just fine in the NHL.

Still fun following him right now though. Go Sam!

Sam Bennett's highlights from March 13th:

1st Period - Bennet on the forecheck, causing turnovers and a couple good chances. SB on a couple rushes, often dominating on the forecheck right after.

Link

2nd Period - Shorthanded and dances around a player to create a 2-on-1, almost scores with a beauty deke. Yet again causing havoc and creating chances on the forecheck. Tough to see but Bennett drives a Bull into the boards, then steals the puck behind his own net, before getting a good chance on the 3-on-2. SB joins a rush late and goes right around Subban for another scoring chance. SB causing havoc on the PK this time.

Link

3rd Period - Bennett creating a good chance on the rush. SB controlling the PP again, then scoring his PP goal. Another good rush, followed by more PP work. Finally his hard-working EN goal.
