Pressure is good but there is no need to apply that pressure the moment the kid is drafted. Look at how people still view Jankowski.. some posters here still flippantly write Jankowski off because of Feaster's crazy statement the day he was drafted.

Craig Button also commented that in a few years Jankowski might well be regarded as the best player in his draft year.

No, I understand the point perfectly well. I'm just saying that Feaster wasn't the only one making wild claims for the kid.

True. But he's also a former flames GM and brother of Flames director of amateur scouting. Lacks credibility if he's the source.

Personally I think (and hope and pray) he will be a good player for the flames, but at this point it's not looking great.

That said, I'm happy he's not a lost cause at this point, and I can still see him becoming a Nieuwendyk like player. Like I said I hope and pray!

I hope and pray. Nieuwendyk way a late bloomer too. College player, and nobody took him in the first round. Also came through college. Could happen. Could fail. Does anybody really think he is a complete bust right now?

I hope so too. I have no expectations because I don't see the point in all the arguing about what he might or might not turn into. Because of his size and background he's going to take some time either way. Just found it odd you didn't think it looks good and then a sentence could see him turing into a hall of famer.
