Indeed. I was talking with a friend before the series started about how sure we were that it would go to seven, and the comment was made about how the match-up was like StL-LA last year, even down to StL playing the defending champ.
Neither team looks good enough to handle San Jose, but that's a different story.

He certainly does bring his play by play call down to a dull pace for this series. I have been watching this series on RDS after listening to him in the first period of game one. Greg Millen actually brings more excitement with his commentary. The good news with this series is that game six will be on NBC this Sunday.

So....the game is on.
It won't make the highlights, but Jackman killed Kruger in the corner with a solid, clean shoulder to shoulder bodycheck. Kruger held jackman's stick a bit while on his knees and then sort of wobbled his way back to the bench.
Great hit by Jackman that looks it took a ton of mustard out of one of Chicago's key depth players.

Oshie scores while basically on his belly... yet announcers yet to talk about the skill involved there.

Hossa opened the scoring for the Blackhawks in the first period. Now that the game is tied, expect it to go to overtime.

Sabotka the fire hydrant returns the favour on Bickell who rang Sabotka's bell in the previous game.
Interesting storyline there.

While I don't mind the refs avoiding handing out penalties, with all the slashes both ways, no wonder there's so many injuries during the playoffs.

That is why some say doing this divisional playoff format for second and third place is a bad idea. I am on the fence when it comes to the playoff format. The conference format would have had Blues-Kings and Sharks-Blackhawks.
