I'm seeing that too.

He shoots the puck the same way too. Bit more mobile on the point though.

Kerr continues to be unlistenable. Did Wideman score an OT winner with that call?

Deserved two goal lead. I fully expect another dubious call or two against the Flames in the third as the Wideman call was. That said, the Wings with no Lidstrom to anchor the power play and team is really noticeable and the Flames look good again tonight.

Iginla was cutting hard across and not as clear cut on the replay that it was a penalty shot. Fell, and didn't dive like Mickey Redmond I am sure complained about(did he complain about Datsyuk diving on the Hudler call).

Kypreos and Maclean haven't improved, its as if they didn't see any of the last 3 games.

Biggest difference is Wideman has more blueline cop ability (keeps the puck in the zone more often)

I'm almost glad the Jets came back to Sportsnet West is not showing Flames games in Manitoba anymore just so I don't have to put up with Kerr and his ####ty announcing style.

Now that it's intermission, I have to say...

What terrible refing that period! Both ways, two of the worst calls I've seen this season.
Huh...now I know why I always seem to be delayed on the posts. I just thought I was an extremely slow typer and these kids today were just that fast. Agreed on the crazy bad reffing.

Note: I am only 33 but still feel incredibly old when it comes to computer stuff.

Wideman is the QB of the most effective PP I've seen on the Flames and he's effective 5-on-5. Small sample size but he looks like a great signing.

Only player I'm not liking out there is Begin, who took a cheap shot at Zetterberg. I was hoping the Flames would be free of goonage this year.

Im borderline ready to create a matt fricken stajan thread lol. The guy has been a beast all year in areas that often go unnoticed.
Another clean face off win for the goal.

Comeau is also a awesome 4th line player and has embraced it quite well. Keep in mind he is a 1.25 mill player so expectations cant be overly high.

Edit: Stajan 7 for 7 in the circle on a team that finished last or near last in faceoff % last year!

how Feaster got Wideman and Hudler to come here amazes me, did he have compromising photos of them or something?

I wish Cervenka would get ONE decent set up in the slot. It's well known how deadly and quick a wrister he has, he just hasn't had many opportunities to use it. Almost got one near the end of the period there, but still wasn't a clean chance. Amazing hands there though, damn.

Also that interference on Hudler in the red wings end was ridiculous. Seems they're going out of their way to give him a bit of a rough time tonight.

Crossing my fingers for the Czech boys. I wanna see them pot one in the 3rd, and Hudler stick it to the team that let him walk. (and so glad we picked him up)

Haven't watched Sportsnet in years...is this sarcasm?

Edit: You guys know that sarcasm doesn't translate in the written form unless it's obvious, right?

It doesn't matter how much money comeau makes, he should be playing elsewhere.

Stajan wasn't a 4th line center and was forced into that role until injuries hit. He's playing where he should be now and reaping the rewards. He's got confidence again.

Stajan and Bouwmeester look like completely different players. Even Iginla, while he isn't scoring, is giving a very good 2 way effort this season.
