Google made and released YouTube app on the App Store.
Apple will NOT make a replacement app. Youtube is no longer pre-installed on iOS 6.

Apple Maps is good...built in turn-by-turn for iPhone 4S up. Integrates with Yelp for reviews and POI's.

I am sure Google will release Maps shortly.

Google has just as much interest in developing good youtube and map apps as Apple does.

Actually google released the official YouTube app last week, and it's awesome. I would expect them to do the same with maps at some point in the future, but haven't heard a timetable for that one.

edit: Beaten I see. This works out better for everybody I think. Google has much more incentive to update the app now that they are in full control. While it concerns me that ads will find their way into the app, for the time being the app is quite nice.

I'd say they have more interest, considering statistics show that the iPad and iPhone account for something like 90% of mobile browsing.

They only ditched native support for them... meaning they won't be integrated with IOS as they were in the past.

I believe Google has already said they will be developing a Google Maps and YouTube App for download from iTunes. You'll just have to install the app yourself.

Anyways, about the LTE.....I guess it doesn't do it 'better' than the S3 or any other phone. If anything it is practically the same.
