Thanks! Thats a good band...
The Teenage Head album is also very good.
These are some current favorites:
I used to love this song. Tusk is still my favourite, but I have a soft spot for 'midldle era' Fleetwood Mac. I bought that CD strictly because of the cover. there's also a sweet cover of For Your Love by The Yardbirds on that album.
Anyways, current favourite song (for Smiths completists, you can buy this on itunes, best 99 cents I ever spent)
Johnny Marr=greatest guitarist evar.

I hate the second generation of Fleetwood Mac with a passion, it wasn't so much that they represented everything that was bad about late 70's bloated coked out LA excess, but that the first Fleetwood Mac was so effing good!
Ok if we are going full on Classic rock here are a few that never made it N America that were better than most anything you would find on a Pink Floyd or Zepplin album
Alex Harvey, a mad genuis from Glasgow, sorely missed
Obviously some Quo
Some Budgie, they pre date Rush in case you are wondering at the similarities.
The Aussie band the Angels, also known as Angel City, have a tune from 1978 that I always like to hear if I am playing pool, on a road trip or just need an upbeat song. "Marseilles" is just a fun song. The second line is NOT "Bought me a Blackberry" although I always hear that!
Bought me a box of french cigars
Bought me a black beret
Get my french from a girl next door
Teaching me night and day
Got me thinking `bout the south of France
Vis-a-vis vous
Pack my suitcase, take a chance
Got nothing to lose
Gimme the sound of the rolling dice
Gimme a whiskey, don't think twice
Deal me the card that takes my blues away
Take me away to Marseilles
Fast train, jet plane, money to burn
Don't ask the reason why
Drinkin' champagne, playin' it cool
Don't even have to try, baby
Gimme the sound of the rolling dice
Gimme a whiskey, don't think twice
Deal me the card that takes my blues away
Take me away to Marseilles
(Solo 1)
Take me away to Marseilles
Fast train, jet plane, money to burn
Don't ask the reason why
Drinkin' champagne, playin' it cool
Don't even have to try
I'm still thinkin' bout the south of France
Vis-a-vis vous
Pack my suitcase, take a chance
Got nothing to lose
Gimme the sound of the rolling dice
Gimme a whiskey, don't think twice
Deal me the card that takes my blues away
Take me away to Marseilles
Take me away to Marseilles
M-m-m-m-m Marseilles
Take me away to Marseilles
