Surferguy has a prime location in the basement across from the Telus Shouters and next to the NDP. Go give him a reason to ring that gong!

Oh God kill me now. The amount of people skirting our corner because the NDP volunteers are trying to give information about the APP/CPP issue or Telus trying to dish out a phone plan. Woof. I think I drew the short straw on this spot today

I’m not sure if I posted pictures of any of the pieces I built for the market season this year:
If you find yourself in the Bowness area this weekend stop by and introduce yourself like Cube Inmate and Fuzz did last week.
I’ll be hawking my stuff Saturday and Sunday 10:30-3:00

I was thinking like painter palette and you could hold it in a cool (or stupid) way while having charcuterie on it, but now I can't unsee the Oiler drop.

Hey those teardrops were deemed to be the best 5 times in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I can only assume that means they are very close to be being the best again.

A friendly bump for the real makers in this thread given the time of year...
Not sure if my project qualifies and apologies if considered a fata as posted in the cycling thread as well:
I'd never subject anyone to my haiku (Japanese poetry) that wasn't interested, but thought I'd give this a share on the odd chance anyone interested - my book project just launched yesterday after many revisiions and resubmissions.\
Have a review by a local MTB freeriding legend/filmmaker Joey Reinhart as well for the yyc cycling connection:
Quote:
“Raised by Rocks, Moved by Mountains is a celebration of our beautiful Canadian backyard through stunning photography and elegantly written Haikus. Each eloquently written word makes you curious about what could lay ahead on the journey that we call life. A must-read for any Canadian outdoor enthusiast!”

Mountain biker, Trail builder, and Filmmaker

Please, please tell me you wished OOTC a Happy New Year. That would be awesome!
Darn. Wrong guy. Too quick to post. Oh well. I hope you at least kicked Fuzz in the shins.

I ragged on multiple coats of golden oak stain, then varathane and wax. The multiple stain coats make it much darker and varied than a single clean coat of the stain.
The plywood ends are exposed, not taped, so sucked up a lot of stain

That is exceptional work, you should be proud edslunch.
Beautiful, it's hard to stain plywood and have those kinds of results.
