I really dug The Dark Side of The Ring and The Dark Side of Comedy series, so I've waded into the other Dark Sides series from Vice.

My keystone course for my Communications Studies degree concerned Reality TV, so I've certainly dug deep into a lot of what The Dark Side of Reality TV has to offer. Even still, watching the episode on Toddlers & Tiaras makes me viscerally ill.

If there were such a thing, that show would destroy my soul. What an absolutely heinous thing that still happens throughout the world.

Also, my partner has been telling me to watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine forever. She's watched it through twice and it's one of her comfort shows. Well I finally started watching it (with her, so this will be her third watch!) and yeah, it's hilarious. That's probably a duh statement, but glad to be finally watching it.
Party Down is vastly underrated. One of my favorite "hidden gem" shows. It really flew under the radar when it was on and not a lot of people have seen it, but it's on par with a lot of other workplace comedies at that time, maybe even better because it was fairly honest.

Have you watched the revival season they did recently? How did that compare?

Late reply, but I'll second this. Binged the two seasons recently and quite enjoyed.

Anyone watched Mo on Netflix?

It is about a Palestinian Illegal in Houston.

We are a couple of episodes in and it has been good so far.

Some good comedy and some good scenes

Never got around to it. I'm pretty wary about show revivals after the abomination that was the Arrested Development revival. I don't know how such a good show could be so bad a few years later. It turned me off to the whole idea of bringing shows back that likely went off the air in the first place because they ran out of ideas to write about.

Midway through season 2 and really enjoying Mo.

I'd recommend it

Does anyone else watch The Challenge reality series? I see lots of threads for Amazing Race and Survivor around here, so maybe...

It's been my wife and I's favorite reality show since we were dating, and she even watched it before that.

The Åre Murders on Netflix is a really great show. A Swedish crime drama with some excellent storytelling.

I get all my Nordic Noir on MHz Choice. Worldwide shows, often subtitled. Refreshing change.

Gave up Netflix (American).

Late to the party on Hacks - my wife’s choice. Amusing.

Season one of The Recruit is fine if you enjoy watching a human golden retriever fail his way through a series of increasingly unlikely scenarios using only the power of a white man's unearned confidence but the second season got dumb stupid instead of fun stupid. An ok show to watch the first season of and then immediately forget exists.

Not sure it's been mentioned, but I just found out they are making a fourth season of The Orville.

This Apple TV Vietnam War documentary was a lot better 8 years ago when it was done by Ken Burns.

Just insane the amount of lifting they did from the Burns version.

Spoiler!

Another late to the party reply, but another great recommendation from this board.

Just watched the first episode of Paradise on Hulu. Great hook, I’m in for for now at least.

Paradise- whips ass. Prime time doesn't take itself too seriously show that knows what it is. Sterling K Brown rules. Can't describe further without ruining show. Watch it

A Thousand Blows- it's alright. All nameless actors except one guy who's a "hey I know that guy" type. Subtitles on if you’re bad with English and Jamaican accents. No Peaky Blinders but compelling enough and worth the initial 6 episode investment

The Tourist- Australian no memory badass guy show. Losing interest quickly as I'm four episodes in and it's not becoming particularly engrossing. Stars the dude from the Upgrade movie. Maybe worth checking out or can someone say if it's worth continuing?
