That's Ford Hall. They are having a watch party there for 1000 people I guess. Tickets are free.
Drinks will be 11.50 though. haha.

You just made the mistake of not putting it in the Oilers playoff thread. Do you have a reading disability? (this is a legitimate question - not mocking you). It should be obvious from the thread title that this is devoted to E = NG. It's not a thread to discuss the Oilers' playoffs unless they lose or do something typically stupid (like create Tier 3 fans).
There's a separate thread devoted to the Oilers' playoff round, and there you can join the infinitely small number of Flames fans who also cheer for the Oilers - although there might be a few who would do that in hopes of a BOA in the second round.

Not so bold prediction. If Talbot goes down due to injury the dimwitted fans and media will blame their lack of playoff success on his injury and not the fact that he will likely be injured due to being over played. Hence recycling the continued glossing over of their inept senior management.
To be clear I am not wishing injury on him just professing what would result should it happen.

Surprise surprise to see who's on that list.
Even the regular Oilers posters gave the Flames a game or two.

Last-minute sale of concourse passes upsets Oilers ticket holders
'Kind of a garbage thing to do,' says Oilers blogger

Looks like it's not just us that thinks this is stupid idea. Negative reaction in Edmonton has gathered enough momentum to make the news.

Is Draisaitl eligible to sign an offer sheet? If so I really hope a team offers upwards of 7m for his services and he signs forcing the oilers to match or lose him. Also hope it's another team I hate like the nucks or ducks that does it. Kill two birds so to speak.
Oilers good?
No.

You think the Oilers with 3 or 4 of Vancouver's first rounders would be good? So they have multiple good ELCs to play with McDavid? I'll leave them with Draisaitl

Oilers would match without a doubt. As they should.

Anything under 7.5m is a 1st 2nd and 3rd. So no I don't think they would be good. At all. No idea where you're getting 3 or 4 1st rounders from. Pretty sure a contract has to be over 9.8m or something for that to take effect.

The concourse tickets is just another exercise in how stupid people are when it comes to spending money.

At this point, it's an exercise in how stupid businesses can be when it comes to trying to get people's money for nothing.
We won't know whether the people are equally stupid until we find out how many actually shell out for this idiotic offer.

LARF. Chanting "We Want the Cup" before they even play their first playoff game in over a decade.
Slow your roll.

If the Oilers set up a "Shoot fireworks at a shopping cart" booth in the parking lot, they could probably make money at that too.

I cringed when the fans at the Dome chanted ‘We want the Cup’ in game 6 of the '04 Finals. I thought, ‘Just what the players need now, you jerks: even more pressure!’ It was at that moment that I became certain the Lightning would win the series.
Doing it before game 1 of the first round? They deserve to be swept, and lose every game 10-0. It would be delightful to see reality take away the fan base's lollipop and spank them with it.

Flames fans don't want the cup? Isn't that the point of cheering for a hockey team?

Oilers have been out of the playoff picture for so long their fans probably think if they win tonight they win the cup.
