lol what? The Flames have Weeger and Andersson has the only two legit top four blueliner, they're both right shots. Kevin Bahl is ... good I guess? Both him and Hanley are hanger ons for the bottom pairing. It's a very weak blueline with a rookie goalie keeping them in games. Indictment is a funny word

Bahls a ĺittle slept on. He's only 24 and averaging 22min a night.
Hes a 6'6 shut down guy but is still on pace for 26 points.
I think he has been and could continue to be legit top 4 D going forward.
He could be Parehk or Bruz's future d partner.

Bahl's underlying stats may be a bit underwhelming, but he certainly has passed the eye test for me. He makes such strong defensive plays so regularly, and is just finding a bit more offence than any of us expected him to produce. He will get better, but we also have to remember that he is playing against top competition right now too and not getting buried out there doing it.

Also only 24 years old. Based on the typical trajectory of defensemen, he should still be on the upswing.

If the flames end up trading Andersson without taking back a defenceman and if they don’t re-sign Hanley or Miromanov, that will open up 3 spots for Parekh, Brz, Kuznetsov, Poirier, Crushnikov and Soloviov to fight for. There will also be injuries so I’d expect all of those players to see NHL time over the next few years.

Some of them aren't going to make it at all. Nobody knows which ones. That's why they're called ‘prospects’.

Goriders, no offense but you're crazy in your line of thinking with prospects making the NHL. Very few prospects actually make the NHL as full timer players, but you speak to our list of prospects like we need to have a spot for each one or else we're "overfilled".
It's insane, man. This is not how the NHL works at all. And it also starts to explain your misguided idea that we have "enough" players to make a team and just need to plug some free agents into the line up to ice a contender instead of rebuilding. You're very out of touch with how a team is built.
Where are Kuznetsov, Poirier, crushnikov and Solovyov going to fit in?
Like that's a crazy statement that doesn't align with reality in building an NHL team. Are you suggesting that we need to have four defense spots open on the Flames in case our four top defense prospects all make it to the NHL as full time regulars ahead of any and all of our 4-6 current defensemen, despite the fact that statistically we'd be lucky if ONE of those prospects made it as a full time NHL player?
You're out to lunch on this stuff, man. Like right out to lunch in Red Deer.

Maybe one of those guys will make it, maybe. Maybe another gets a handful of years on a bottom pairing. The idea that we need to make room for anyone of them, or that they're so good we need to trade them because we don't have room is crazyland.

I didn't expect Kevin Bahl (12 points) to have more points than Andrei Kuzmenko (10 points), but here we are.

Yeah Flames had room this year at camp, Barrie wasn't signed yet. Team only had Anderson, Weegs, Bahl, Miromanov and Bean pencilled in as regulars. With Sloyvov, Pachal, Hanley, Parekh and others all competing for 2-3 spots. With Anderson potentially gone, I would expect a similar camp next season. No need to make room for prospect as we aren't loaded like 2 seasons ago, when we had Zadarov and Gudbranson on the bottom pair.
