Can't get over watching what sore losers the oilers look like in the handshake line. The supposed 'leaders' Mcdiver and Pissy barely saying a word to anybody on the knights, including Vegas captains and coaches. Derek Ryan looked like the most classy oiler, not surprising.
Oilers apologists will say they were upset.... yep so is every team that lost a playoff series. The professional NHL players still take a minute to acknowledge who they lost to. Not Mcdiver and Pissy..

Imagine Iginla or Steve Yzerman acting like that. You can’t. Total class in victory and defeat.
I’d also add, how many Las Vegas players did you see with a few extra words for either of them? Almost none. Tells me a lot.

Then resign drai, and then resign McD.

I woke up today and the sun seemed a little brighter, the air a little fresher, my coffee a little stronger.
The veil of gloom has lifted as we come to observe once again that E = NG. Forever and always.

They've been surrounded by people who feed them propaganda about how deserving they are of winning. I think it's genuine shock and disbelief.

Their easy out was to buyout Campbell (lol), but not sure they feel be so comfy with Skinner as a 1 anymore.

Oilers are in deep cap trouble. They have about $6M and 17 players signed. UFAs: Ryan, Bjugstad, Janmark, Shore. RFAs Bouchard, Kostin, Macleod (the latter with arb rights). Bouchard will be looking for a big payday after they pumped his tires all year and Kostin and Macleod have $3M type stats - both around .4 PPG out of limited ice time.
James Neal gets $2M from them for 2 more years. The same two years that Draisaitl has left.

Woke up this morning and it seemed like the air was a little fresher, the birds were singing a happier tune, the sun was shining bright, and the universe just felt like everything had been corrected. Evil has been vanquished and the world is a better place today.
Thank you, Golden Knights!

I actually thought this was the best opportunity Edmonton had to go to the final as it looked like their most complete team yet but the failed again. I find it hard to believe they can improve on this year's squad.
The one move that I think they should be making is getting rid of RNH. I really don't think he is very good despite his huge points performance which is just padded by getting to play with McDavid and Leon from time to time. I'm not certain that many would be jumping at the chance to acquire RNH though.

Draisaitl's potential extension will be fun to watch. Will they give give him $13M x 8 years? He's been underpaid for the last 4 years, he's gonna want to cash in. Does he even want to stick around Edmonton considering the team has been pretty much a bubble team or bottom barrel team all his 11 years he was on the team?

RNH has a NMC to boot. And his contract is 5 more years. That said, it’s not at a stupidly high price. Now, if he waives, he might be someone Colorado would look at.

This is that rare playoff year where things were wide open given the early round upsets. Lightning and Avalanche will be back next season and ascending teams like the Kings and Devils will be better. Hard to imagine any Canadian team having a better shot at winning the Cup as the Oilers and Leafs just wasted.

Leafs won their cup getting out of the first round.

The $5M contract is why I think that RNH might be sellable although that is for a player who is probably a 70 point guy realistically and not a 100 point guy. Given the opportunity I would bet that he would waive the NMC to go elsewhere and possibly win a cup unless he is so brainwashed up there to believe that Edmonton is his best chance at a cup.

he had a chance to leave there and re signed, anyone taking him will be disapointed, without being on that power play, he will have a huberdeau type year
