This is almost too dumb to respond to but, I kind of have to at least point out that all I said was, in effect, let's wait to see what the facts are. Case in point, you are calling this a shooting of an unarmed black man, but, the story is now that he actually was in a car chase and shot at police before this. But yes, I know, I'm a biggot and a fascist etc etc.
He was unarmed at the time of the shooting. He may have had, and used, a gun earlier but it was not in his possession when he was shot.
I never said you were a bigot or a fascist, but you’re saying the same things those people do. So, if you don’t want to be either of those things take the advice from my previous post.
we'll see what the truth is; the video showing the "shooting" at the police behind him, while driving, through the driver side window was very difficult to discern from the view I saw of it.
I think it goes without saying 60 gunshot wounds (as reported) seems rather excessive, especially since the guy was a) running away, not AT the cops and b) the vast majority of the gunfire occurred when the suspect was already on the ground. Just saw CBC's The National story on this from tonight.
So the police were resolving a public safety issue arising from him firing a shot, so the police fired 90 shots of which 60 hit him and 30 presumably just went sailing on past into the night?

I know they use high powered guns, but I literally can't picture 90 ****ing shots being fired, with SIXTY hitting a person and THIRTY going flying by into a neighbourhood.

The cops allege he shot at them, we've seen no evidence of that thus far. Since you like facts so much.

The thing with DeSantis is how people think he handled COVID. Florida was pretty much open the entire time and a lot of people think the restrictions in other places were and are still too overreaching.
He did nothing different from a lot of different states. He was just more of a dick about it which is the key trait for Republicans of late.

I saw the body cam video before I commented, the young man did 3 stupid things.
1) he ran from police after a traffic violation stop.
2) fired a gun out the window while being chased, this led to more cop cars chasing him.
3) when cornered he still wouldn't give up, instead he ran on foot and was shot when he looked to be reaching in his waste.
I don't care if a person is black, white or pink, you do that in gun crazy America cops will kill you. I'm not even sure they knew what color he was as it looked like he was wearing some sort of ski mask.
Nine cops emptying their clips was excessive for sure, but it just shows how freaked out they are in America, cops are being shot and killed in record numbers these days.

How anyone can watch that bodycam video and not think of immediate condemnation of those officers is totally beyond me. They were shooting at a corpse for 90% of their clips. This is absolutely barbaric. At what point does that flip into desecration of a corpse? ####ing hell, I wouldn't wish that level of brutality on anyone. Maybe Vlad Putin.
Also that highland park video is absolutely numbing. My own son is the same age as the boy in that video clip, just bending over to pick something up on the ground as people begin to stampede past him away from an ACTIVE Shooter... What a ####ing world.

I like how some of the comments on that video are theorizing that it was antifa or BLM responsible as if they are the ones doing all the mass shootings.
