I'm loving having an actual spring rather than just going from winter to summer

I wish it was hotter.

Also, the damn wind has made for some brutal bike rides home the last two days. A few gusts this afternoon nearly stopped me dead on the pathway.

I love that we've only had one day of smoke so far to this point.

All this rain got the city looking really nice. Green is a good colour for Calgary. Hopefully sticks around until Late July.

That smoke is a deal breaker. I'll take 14 straight days of rain for 1 smoke day.

I think I have PTSD from all the smokey summers lately...just went on my balcony for dinner and noticed the sun seems a little tinted.

I immediately was like "Smoke?? Is that smoke rolling in?!? It's smoke isn't it!! OMG not again!" and checked my weather app in a panic: partly cloudy, air quality is fine. Ok, then..

I’m with you though. There is a certain glint in the sky. There must be some sort of smoke in the air right now. Where is Fuzz? Figure this out Fuzz with your fancy apps n stuff

52C - that's more disgsting than normal for them.

Hot humid places getting hotter.

Some parts of Mexico getting record heat along with drought, moneys dropping dead out of trees apparently. Ice from stores being rationed. Then a hail storm from hell. Rather dystopian.

I get the feeling that we could get some violent thunderstorms in late June. I love me a good storm so would be kinda happy for that, but not big damaging hail of course.

The possible national record was probably a sensor error or caused by some local factor as the temperature was an outlier compared to nearby stations that had existed for much longer.

Easy to consult the PurpleAir monitor map to see current air quality from a bunch of stations around the city. Yesterday afternoon/evening things did tick up a bit on the PM2.5 measurements but not into unhealthy territory.

I think I might prefer 15C to 25C.

A 25C day is still better because the morning and evenings are optimal, but actually being outside in 15-20C is the best

I'll take the absolute hottest temps we can get, +35? No problem. Summer is so damn short here, I want to get out swimming a few times.

For the entire 3 days a year it happens? It's great, sit in the shade, go swimming, pretend for a short time that we don't live in a frozen hellhole for solid months on end.

Used ours for 2 days, then turned the furnace back on. Neighbours haven’t been having evening fires lately, so we’ve been able to open the windows to cool the place off. 4am Robins might force us to start up the AC again.
