Overall a good PPV. More good than bad, but I thought the 6-man tag, MJF/Tanahashi, and Punk/Kojima were weak points.
I'm also completely over The Outcasts.

Sting needs to stop, Jericho needs to just go away.
That Tiger Driver is just a really dangerous move that gives no way to protect yourself.
I thought we had another Droz moment.

Not necessarily true. The person hitting it just has to have the proper upper body strength. Kenny's hit it a million times safely. Ospreay shouldn't have been attempting it that late in the match.

And apparently we're getting Jericho/Sammy vs. Sting and Darby this week because TK can't help himself.

This is where the Sammy turn will happen IMO
So makes sense from that perspective.
Think what was supposed to happen was Sammy would miss Sting, which he was told/forced to do by Jericho, and then in a similar moment this week he's going to attack Jericho instead of Sting

That Omega/Ospreay match was SO MUCH FUN live, goddamn. These two are just on another level. Also, MJF's aura at these shows live is something to behold - when his music hits, the place goes nuts. Christian also running down Toronto at Collision on Saturday was hella fun too.

After a good opening show where Collision reached 816,000 viewers with half in the key demo. It plummeted this week, to 595,000 viewers with a .21 in the key demographic.

Being the night before the PPV hurt I think.
Also don't think it helped that they gave you pretty much the exact same main event two weeks in a row.
Cody was the one who was pretty adamantly against "50/50" booking when AEW was first started.
But since he's left they have really done a ton of 50/50 booking

It was still the 5th most watched show on cable and tied for 4th in the key demo. I have a feeling WB/Discovery will be perfectly happy if it can maintain viewership in that region.

Just tell us you hate AEW. I swear the focus is on the negatives; they’ve been great for the wrestling business quite frankly.

Two performers that went under the radar somewhat this weekend and competed on both Saturday's Collision and tapings and Sunday's Forbidden Door are El Phantasmo and Willow Nightingale.
Phatasmo came out as ELP, and although he is with NJPW, he was quite over with the Toronto crowd. Faced Willy Mack on Saturday (who also got a huge reaction), and Stu Grayson at FD. Guy knows how to play the crowd, is a great technical/high-flyer, and has a flashy presence that works with a great tune (lets you shout his initials). He's also Canadian so that's a plus.
Nightingale was more over than any of the other female wrestlers and it wasn't even close. She's got presence, she's got great ring pacing, and her entrance is this amazing party atmosphere of electro funk music which got the crowd pumped. Her losing to Toni Storm at FB sucks, I think she should have gone further. She would have been fantastic for the Owen Hart finals in Calgary. She's going to a huge star and AEW found themselves a gem.

I actually like Willow, She got a boost against Mercedes and has run with it. She's still a bit green, but AEW desparately needs to improve its woman's division. Toni Storm really needs to be split off, She's being dragged down by Ruby and Saraya. Frankly and honestly I think Kahn needs to have that hard discussion with Saraya in terms of her in ring future. I look at it that Willow and Hayter are really good prospects.
I used to really like Ruby, but she's more a midcarder now, and for god sakes somebody needs to fix her contact lenses, because I think she's actually close to blind in the ring and it makes her look awkward.

Ruby has mid-card ceiling. I hate to say that, because I like her presence in the business, but she's a classic gatekeeper for others to beat before doing better things. She's also not the greatest in the ring and you are right, she is blind as a bat and that might be impacting her.
Saraya can go pound sand. She does nothing for me, not in the ring or on the mic. She just has such a lackadaisical delivery it is completely off-putting.
Could also care less about Toni Storm. Her husband on the other hand . . . . Him and Jay White have been fantastic.
Give me more Layla Hirsch, Abadon, and Free Range Kara.

Watching Ruby closely, its almost like she either can't see properly or has poor depth perception. But it seems like her closing steps are always mistimed and it makes her look clumsy. I know in the Ride along they talked about her vision being so bad that she wouldn't drive. I like her, she seems genuine and I think she works her a$$ off. At the same time for a alt-punk persona, she's just flat.
Abadon to me is interesting, because she's fully invested in her character. I follow her on Twitter because she does some really cool character work. Its also clear that she's worked her a$$ off on her fitness level. I think she's another mid card worker.
Toni Storm can flat out work, its not even a question, her work in the Mae Young Classics was awesome, and she's a natural heel. But the group she's in is just bad, its flat, its for the memes, it rips off elements from other factions that make no sense in this context.
If you want instant heel heat for her (or maybe face heat because its too late) you have her injure Saraya and end her in ring career.
Saraya, I love her story, and felt a lot of sadness when she had to walk away. But like a lot of other workers she seemed to benefit from Vince's and the WWE's strict booking and promos. When she has to do her own promo's yeah she is flat, repetitive, and comes across as almost not interested. And whether her injuries have made her fearful in the ring or not, she's nowhere near she was at her height.
I would say have her work as a trainer, but that would be a mistake, she can't teach promos and she really isn't a good enough worker to transition to trainer.
Its sad.
Jamie Hayer is going to be the big thing in that division, she's just a natural, they really should have pulled a fast trigger on a turn on Britt who is just miserable in the ring, and has taken major steps back.

Yeah, I saw that, whoever approved that stunt is an idiot, there was no need, Sting doesn't need to do that stupidity at 64. I'm amazed that he didn't send his jawbone into row 21.

Table was too far. Also didn't need two tables, one table would have resulted in a better spot. If anyone noticed, the 2nd table was wobbly to begin with (the leg wasn't locked in). It should never have been used anyway.
Sting is a madman though, and I loved the match.

Darren Drozdov passed away today. Former NFL player who was bought into WWE in the mid 90's and the height of the attitude era. He was shown in the under the ring documentary as he could puke on command. He was basically a mid carder who bounced around and would end up in the Legion of Doom with the infamous line that he pushed Road Warrior Animal off of the Titan Tron killing that character (IIRC Hawk was released due to his substance abuse issues)
He was injured by a powerbomb gone wrong by Dlo Brown and left a quadriplegic , but continued to work for the WWE for years.
He never blamed Dlow for the injury and when he did interviews he was always positive despite his situation.
RIP.
