I'd really love to know why Clinton is so favoured with black voters. Bernie actually fought for civil rights in ways she never did. Ever.

Trump dominates tonight as well. Looking like he won't quite sweep all 95 delegates but he'll get at least 91. Still seems unlikely he gets the magic number but he's got a chance to go so close that denying him could be terrible for the general.

It's that slick hillbilly Bill. I'm hypothesizing that the Clinton name is better known and trusted. Up until recently, Sanders seemed to be not well known at all among African Americans.

Bernie has gone back to Vermont to "get recharged and take a day off". I don't think he drops out now but he probably shifts away from attacking her and towards just playing out the string.

I've heard it said that black democrats are quite pragmatic. After generations of seeing well-intentioned politicians be unable to enact any reforms, they value a perceived ability to actually make deals, work congress, etc. over idealism. They might look at Bernie and say 'great guy, great values, but as a leader he's not actually going to be able to get any meaningful reform passed', while with Hillary, 'spotty record, but she's far more likely to enact (and preserve) meaningful reform.'

Bernie is done, it was a valiant effort, but he wasn't going to beat Hillary who has the super delegates in her pocket and had them before this process ever started.
She's got the key formula, she's in the sway of big business, she got into bed with the super delegates, and made the rest up as she went along.
With Trump he got the win that he needed to maybe head off a contested convention.
Ugg, Hillary or Trump, I think either of them are terrible choices for president.

The Clintons did a huge amount to improve the lives of the poor in Arkansas, who are predominantly black.
I'm not a huge fan of the US's flawed political system but there are few democrats that did as much as Bill and Hillary within it for the poor.
Bernie marched with MLK, the Clintons actually improved the lives of the poor.
Are they perfect? Far from it, but the disrespect they get from the left is totally unjustified, they did what they could.

Better than Hillary or Cruz. I don't like Trump but at least he's not an insane ideologue. Well he's probably insane but at a different level. If by some remote chance Trump is elected, he'll probably waste the first two years learning what it's all about as he gets nothing done but ruffle more feathers. The next two years will be spent trying to back track.

A not unexpected shame for Bernie.
Very much the president (or at least the political platform) the US needs. Hopefully there's a younger successor to him in the works.

My hope stands that Hillary names Elizabeth Warren as the VP. Want to get all the enthusiastic Bernie supporters on your side, that's pretty much the only easy way to do so. A Clinton-Warren ticket easily beats anything the other side tosses at them.

Your not wrong, under Bill Clinton income for african american households grew by 25% over the previous two presidents in Bush and Reagan but some say it's a lot to do with Sanders as well, Sanders has repeatedly opposed Obama(first black president) over the last 8 years, anti-Obamaism is not a good recipe for getting black or even hispanic votes.
He has started to win over blacks and hispanics but I think it's a case of too little to late.

Keep these names in memory.
Eric Swalwell and Tulsi Gabbard.

DNC needs to be very careful about this one. If they get another centrist as VP, expect to see Bernie supports go 3rd party or just hold their noses and vote trump as a big FU.
There is a pretty strong anti-establishment streak in Bernie voters. Make no mistake, they will vote Trump if they don't like the candidates the DNC brings forward.

I think the only way Bernie supporters go nuclear is if he ultimately refuses to endorse her. Otherwise they are so in the tank for him that if he says vote Hillary, or Trump will destroy progressive causes, most of them will. The Democrats need to focus on age more than policy, and since Warren is 66 years old I tend to think they'll go younger (I strongly believe it'll be Cory Booker). They need someone younger to build the next generation of the party.

I really don't buy that. "The establishment" means different things to different people. From the Sanders-crowds angle, Trump is pretty much the worst parts of what they see as "status quo". (Rampant racism, sexism and militarism, millionaires ruling everything etc.)
Hillary is status quo in good and bad. Trump is just the bad.

I'm a big Warren fan and think she would be a great VP. Actually she should be in the Presidential race, I'm not sure why she's not.
But, as sad as it is, I don't think the Democrats can run a Woman-Woman ticket. There are just too many dolts who wouldn't vote for them for that reason alone.

I really doubt it. I probably would have tried to join Bernies campaign if I lived in the US, so I'm a pretty strong supporter of his. There is absolutely no way I would vote for Trump, or any Rep. candidate. Not because of partisan issues, but because they are all psychos.

I wonder what is going on in her thoughts right now.
Had she run, she would have easily won the nomination.

I don't think she would have done much better than Sanders and I like Warren.
This was Clinton's to lose. Even with her doing her best to do so, she was still getting the nomination.

No one was stopping the Clinton juggernaut this time.
After the last loss to Obama, the Clinton political machine went 'all-in' on this race.
We haven't seen nothin' yet.
