I think the suspension was virtually required after the allegations. Canada is still conducting its investigation and may very well find that the allegations of the 12 members participating in the attacks is false. If that’s the case they may resume funding.
I think right now it would be irresponsible to pull all funding from the organization that has historically been the engine that provides healthcare and facilities other entities for aid such as water, food, medicine, etc. If funding is to be pulled it should be phased so that the Gazan refugees who need assistance can get it right now rather than die.

And to add, should funding have been cut long ago? Ya probably, but an alternative would have needed to be found. That or the cash should have come with some really stringent oversight and checks and balances.

No apology needed, I just recognize how sad your situation is.
It doesn’t affect me at all.

Leondros. So you think it would be irresponsible to cut the funding, but it should have been done long ago. Contradiction.

Hahaha. Everything is going so well for me right now, even your negativity can’t bring me down!
Do you think Canada should have cut funding to UNRWA? If not, why?

We'll try again to see if you're genuinely interested in discourse or if nothing more than a troll.
No. Because it is a decision made on nothing more than allegations. From a country with a known history of shameless lying. To date there is zero evidence to support the allegations. Multiple countries have said so and multiple media outlets from multiple countries have reviewed the allegation and found zero evidence to date to support it.
Now. Your turn. Can you present one single report of one single country saying they have seen evidence?

No I can’t. But then again, I don’t have access to all the information that they have.
With that being said, I think Canada should have cut funding before that information came out. Plenty of other reasons to cut funding.

You sure like to hammer on asking the wrong questions. Sounds like you got to the bottom of this one though, good job!

What answer would someone not want to give? Israel is against cutting funding.
You were a Hamas supporter until the “turning point” of October 7 (I believe that’s what you called it), so why would you have wanted funding cut if you think it’s all going to Hamas?

I was not a Hamas supporter before Oct 7.
Were you?

Sure you were, that’s why it was a “turning point” for you.
Unlike you, I was actually critical of Hamas before the 7th. Easy to look up. You… weren’t. Pretty telling.

I get what he's saying and I understand and agree with your reasons for it. But honestly, if I were in a situation like a lot of these people are in, and in many other places around the world, I would just never want to bring a child into the world. I would know that I can't possibly provide for it and I want to watch it suffer the absolute worst fate, possibly for many years? That sounds like the worst kind of self torture, or any kind of torture, to me.
