Black Adam was very, very, very not good. Discovery should have taken the write off on this instead of Batgirl. Yikes. DC is in shambles.

Black Panther is out next week so Black Adam earnings should fall off a cliff.
BA is at $262 million worldwide. I doubt it will even beat Sonic the Hedgehog 2. ($400 mil).

I liked Black Adam, didn't love but I enjoyed it. Enjoyed it more than Morbius, Thor 4 or Dr. Strange 2.

Of course you did.
Morbius was hot awful, Thor 4 was....Thor 4 maybe average at best. But Dr. Strange 2? That was fun!
Then again I havent seen Black Adam yet. But as DC property it could range anywhere between 'aggressively mediocre' to 'travesty against film.'
It could be anywhere in there.

It's definitely been a down year for superhero movies, only The Batman was great. My current rankings, but I have high hopes for BP2 to take one of the top 2 spots
1) The Batman
2) Black Adam
3) Dr. Strange 2
4) Morbius
5) Thor 4

Weird came out on Friday, and I have to give it a solid 8/10.
Real good comedy, great cameos, a bit uneven pacing, and more or less exactly what I would want in a Weird Al movie.

In no universe is Morbius ranked higher than any movie. Except maybe that 2015 Frankenstein movie. The one with the dude from The Core.
Other than that I'd probably rank Thor higher than all but the Batman.
Man Morbius was bad. Like Transformers 3 or 4 bad. Whichever one had Marky mark in it.

Oh no, Thor wasn't great. Didn't much like it, but it was still better than even Dr.strange.
Trust me, I agree it was a really weak year for soups. But DC outside of Batman, ain't nothing ever good about it since Chris Reeves supermans.

That’s crazy talk. Thor 4 was worse than both Black Adam and Morbius. Dr Strange 2 was the best of all four of those movies.
Thor 4 was SM3 bad. Very similar in tone and cringeyness too.

Saw The Banshees of Inisherin last night. I enjoyed it, but it is not a happy movie and I imagine many people would find it morose and dull. It reminds me a lot of Martin McDonagh's brother John Michael's film Calvary, not only because of the setting and that Brendan Gleeson stars in both, but the sad plot. I saw Calvary alone and a friend of mine was a little upset I hadn't invited him along, but I know he hates depressing movies, and he asked me to spoil it a little: "The priest ends up being a pedophile or something, right?"
"No."
"But he is a bad person or something, right? Like, he did something to deserve being threatened with his life?"
"No, he's a good man."
"####, okay, I'm glad I didn't see it."
Similarly in " Banshees", Colin Farrell's 'Pádraic' does nothing to deserve the scorn of his former best friend 'Colm' (Gleeson). I'm sure my friend would hate this movie, but I felt a funny irony that me specifically going to see it without him kind of makes me 'Colm' to his 'Pádraic'...

Certainly a down year for superhero movies I think. I’ve seen sixty-four 2022 releases so far and of the superhero films I’ve got them ranked

35) Doctor Strange 2
