I am a big Buck Martinez fan. I think he is really well suited as a colour analyst, but he is also a great PBP guy too. To me his voice is Blue Jays baseball.

Haha. Suck it Kimbrel and your stupid stance.
McGwire has had some massive AB's this season.

The standard slide into first for a single, advance to second on a strikeout, advance to third on a groundout, score on a wild pitch inning.

Win! Was that the best bullpen game of the season?

Wish the Yankees and especially the Red Sox would just start losing.
And the Mariners ans A's are playing each other. Can't they just both lose?

Huge win!
Great job by the bullpen, and then pure determination from the offense to manufacture a run.

Definitely seems like the right spots in terms of leverage. Cimber with the change of speed side arm stuff. Mayza with the lefty action. Romano with pure velocity.

The Yankees are gone. They're just an another planet right now. Playing like .850 ball since the begining of July. Strange thing is theyre not hitting at all. Their starters have been decent not mind blowing. They're just doing everything right to win games. Stupid Yanks.

^This is why he's doomed to forever be a 4th outfielder on a team, despite the fact he can hit for decent power and is an above average fielder. He just doesn't have that ability to be a difference maker.

To me, Grichuk looks like the classic example of someone going to the plate without a plan. If the pitcher throws something juicy up there, he can hit it as well as most players. But if the pitcher works him, he just waves at pitches - he doesn't seem able to recognize what they are trying to do. And he has no answer, if he does.
In a high leverage situation (RISP), with any kind of competent pitcher, he is a strike out waiting to happen. Unless he gets lucky and gets the bat on the ball and hits into a double play.

In the first half of the season, Grichuk was one of the leaders in RBI's. He was batting 5th behind the big boys, which obviously gave him the opportunity in the first place, but he MUST have some skill at batting with RISP. What happened?
