And no, I'm not, I believe what I say, and in fact I'm being far more considerate than many by not just outright dragging out name calling and drawing correlation to other adrenochrome misinformation in the venn diagram of Pop Culture YouTube media criticism and other such fronts of the Culture War

Took literally four posts... this is a particularly ####ty, and particularly stupid, thing to try to pin on me, given that my view of Jordan Peterson was "this guy is completely and utterly batcrap insane" from the very start of his 15 minutes of fame. Is your next smear going to somehow attempt to associate me with Andrew Tate, too, or are you saving that one for a special occasion? What an a-hole thing to post... but hey, I guess anything for those internet points you claimed not to care about a couple of hours ago. FFS.

They couldn't find a single female actor who looks like an MMA fighter or a powerlifter?
Gina Carano was in both Deadpool and The Mandalorian and Disney was going to give her her own Star Wars spinoff show until she went and got herself cancelled.

Gravy guys, if you can keep the political / ideological dick-swinging contests to the appropriate threads that would be great. Everyone always bitching about “don’t go into X thread if you don’t like it”, well a lot of us don’t and just want to come in here and talk about Batman without having to wade through yet another protracted pissing contest.
Anyways, if someone actually wants to discuss a sci-fi movie, here a teaser / title reveal they released for the next Godzilla movie coming out in March 2024.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to pin it on you directly.
It was more about the shared ecosystem on YouTube.
I should have chosen my word's better.

Just give us more Godzilla movies. No one wants to see Hollywood pretending that King Kong would be anything but a 2 second speed bump for Godzilla.
Meh. I'm pretty into seeing them expand on their universe as a whole. I mean they don't really explain how Kong's species built a throne room with hinged doors, an actual throne, and weapons....but I'm willing to just go with it.
Edit: Also, this movie isn't Godzilla vs. Kong. It's Godzilla x Kong. Just a cross-over.
Adam Driver as Reed Richards rumours out there today. I don't normally care to comment on rumours or speculation, but this one intrigued me.
After Doctor Strange I figured Krasinski was a lock, and hadn't even considered other actors. Krasinski is...I dunno, more likeable? But Driver has terrific range.
I'm surprised since I thought Krasinski would have been their guy for sure, but Driver is an excellent choice. I think that Krasinski could be an excellent Wolverine as well if they want to lean into the Hugh Jackman model of the character.

Huh?
Wolverine is supposed to be a short, surly, loner type. Krasinski is tall, friendly, and personable....also his facial features are way off. I feel like that would be like casting a golden retriever to play a pitbull.
You do not want to mess around with the Youtube algorithms, especially if you are a 40ish year old male. Every time I search something even tangentially related Joe Rogan, it takes weeks of stating I'm not interested in his videos to get rid of him from my feed.

This was the charming and friendly 6'2 Australian that defined the role for 20+ years now. Jackman was seen as wildly miscast at first, but he nailed the character. I think Krasinski could do something similar.
Apparently so....he definitely looks shorter and "stalky" though. Apparently they put other actors on boxes during scenes they filmed with Jackman.

"Actually, in the first movie, Chris, I never had my shoes on. Every other actor around me - the rule was, unless they were a kid, they had to be taller than me... I was literally crouching like that. Shoes off. People were on planks and boxes all around me. So, we went to a great effort. And I think after a while they just gave up on that."
Wolverine was kind of Stalky with Jean Grey I guess.
Adam Driver is a great actor so I would be very interested to see what he does with the character. It's cool that Marvel gave fans the Krasinski Richards in DS2. Doesn't mean he couldn't come back in some other multiverse type crossover, timeline being pre Wanda visit obviously..
