It's hard to tell if Cruz is truly smart and well-organized, or he just looks that way in comparison the other major Republican candidates who thought that somehow grass-roots action on a national scale wouldn't be important this time around.

So Sanders wins Wyoming by 11 percentage points, but the delegates are split 50/50.
On top of that Clinton gets the 4 super delegates because they committed to her in January. So she loses the vote and wins in delegates 11 to 7. What an absolutely rigged system.

Boston Globe mocked up a front page for one year from today, if Trump were to actually win and actually do some of the crazy stuff he's suggested during his campaign.

Watching the news this morning, Trump slammed Canada pretty hard over trade this weekend, mentioning America's massive trade deficit with every country in the world but sectioning out Canada for special mention.
He also took a shot at the NATO free riders who haven't lived up to their spending obligations within NATO.

Can someone explain why Sanders doesn't just hammer Clinton on all these private fundraisers? If he were to ask her during the debate Thursday (cause there's no way CNN does) to allow press at each one of her remaining fundraisers, it would really highlight her lack of transparency. You have to think her Romney moment is inevitable.

Seems like Bernie's been operating under a pretty strict "no attack" policy during the race so far. Even in his one-on-one, he was very careful to steer clear of loaded questions to denounce Hillary.
That will probably have to change if he wants to win. I too, am surprised it hasn't come up yet. The attack ads that come up once this thing becomes the actual race are going to either be hilarious or be fodder for the "I Don't Want to Live On This Planet Anymore" Thread. Or both.

It's never going to be an actual race. Bernie is done, he'd need a Golden State Warrior-esque run just to make it close, let alone actually win. It's a nice narrative but has it not been laid out pretty clearly that this is over? Maybe I'm too big a fan of Nate Silver but barring the boogeyman of an indictment that isn't happening Bernie is only serving to keep the media and the right from focusing too strongly on Hillary.

What are the chances that Bernie runs as an Independent if/when Hillary wins?

I meant when it comes to Republicans vs Democrats.
If he somehow finds himself in that race, he'll have to stomach going after the opposition. So much that needs to be exposed.
If it's Hillary vs Whoever, attack ads are all we will see and it'll take a lot personal investigating to find out what the real truth is about anyone. If you find this whole thing unbearable now, I can't imagine what the real race is going to look like. It'll be an international embarrassment IMO (moreso than it already is).

He just called her "unqualified to be President" last week...of course he then walked it back not even two days later. Bernie doesn't have it in him to play the game the winning way, he's all about "integrity" which is nice, but is obviously loser talk. He's playing not to lose rather than win, and shockingly he now has virtually no chance to win. Going after her now is a little late in the game, particularly since he opened the door in that Daily News interview for her to turn it back to his lack of any detail or specifics to accomplishing his goals. She can really make this about policy knowledge/detail and experience, and that's a big problem for him.

Zero. He may want to be president but he really really really doesn't want the GOP nominee to be president.

Two of Trump's kids can't vote for him in the NY primaries as they forgot to register to vote last year:
http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/11/politi...ent/index.html
Quote:
Donald Trump said Monday that his children, Eric and Ivanka, "feel very, very guilty" they will be unable to vote for him in New York's primary next week because they missed the state's voter registration deadline.
"They had a long time to register and they were unaware of the rules so they feel very, very guilty, they feel very guilty, but it's fine, I understand, that," the real estate mogul said on Fox News' "Fox and Friends." "I think they have to register a year in advance so Eric and Ivanka I guess won't be voting."
New York's primary is April 19.
Trump also said that despite calls to put her on his ticket, Ivanka Trump will not be his running mate

Whose calls? His own?
Also, in the least shocking news ever, Trump donates to charity....just not ever his own money.
Quote:
Since the first day of his presidential campaign, Donald Trump has said that he gave more than $102 million to charity in the past five years.
To back up that claim, Trump’s campaign compiled a list of his contributions — 4,844 of them, filling 93 pages.
But, in that massive list, one thing was missing.
Not a single one of those donations was actually a personal gift of Trump’s own money.
Instead, according to a Washington Post analysis, many of the gifts that Trump cited to prove his generosity were free rounds of golf, given away by his courses for charity auctions and raffles.
The largest items on the list were not cash gifts but land-
conservation agreements to forgo development rights on property Trump owns.
Trump’s campaign also counted a parcel of land that he’d given to New York state — although that was in 2006, not within the past five years.
In addition, many of the gifts on the list came from the charity that bears his name, the Donald J. Trump Foundation, which didn’t receive a personal check from Trump from 2009 through 2014, according to the most recent public tax filings. Its work is largely funded by others, although Trump decides where the gifts go.

Shocker: A loudmouth endorsing a loudmouth. But Trump likes winners and Rex is sort of a loser though...
Quote:
Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan will introduce Donald Trump at the GOP front-runner’s rally Monday night in the Queen City.
Ryan, who coached the New York Jets from 2009 to 2014, told reporters of his support for the bombastic billionaire during a meeting with reporters.

I'm more intrigued by the fact that an NFL coach endorsing a candidate is news worthy and relevant...only in America?

Didn't Gretzky endorse Harper? Thankfully it wasn't relevant.
