Unbelievable. It's like he waited 5 seconds to make that brutal call

I have noticed more in recent games that Jays get some calls that go their way, but it's never in key situations like they had the last 2 innings.

Here’s what I hope happens: Bichette’s injury forces Atkins to push all in for a bat or even two - Teo is among my first choices - and Bichette’s injury proves to be minor enough that he comes back within a week or so and we have a lineup that strikes some fear in the opponents’ hearts.
At this point, I think Pearson may have pitched his final game with the Jays. If they can need to move some of the guys that we’d think as untouchable (Tiedemann, Martinez, Barriera) to get a couple of players who have some team control, I think they probably should do it.

Well the M's ditched Sewald.
Is Springer not available at all tonight. He should be PH instead of Espinal.

The Orioles are a force to be reckoned with. Perfect D, above average hitters up and down the lineup, the best bullpen in the bigs. Crazy how fast they turned it around into the best team in baseball.

Their AL East record for a decent ball team must be some sort of a record, it’s just crazy.

Jays luck, he has been extremely healthy the last few years and goes down at the worst time when they are starting to turn a corner. ####

I have a similar feeling about Pearson being the odd guy out. I don't think they keep that many pitchers around in the bullpen at least and he seems to be a guy they'd deal. I'm honestly not thrilled about it because he has so much natural talent. He'll never be a premiere pitcher but he could end up being a lights out set up man or a rotational closer. I'd really want to go down with a sinking ship if his value is low, instead of dealing him. There's something about the mix on this team that hasn't got me saying we should go all in. In fact, I'm thinking some of the expirings should be dealt and go more in next year, but that's not how things work with investments.

I’m worried the Bichette injury has the opposite impact and he gets cold feet with one of his top guys out, and thinks he shouldn’t waste the assets.

I think he'd be right not to. I know baseball playoffs is shorter and anything can happen but it's super unlikely that suddenly almost everything aligns. I don't think we can expect much from players coming off long term injury to have it all together (Ryu and Green). Truly this should be a wait and see approach at best to create a sustainable winner for years instead of going all in for one or two pushes.
Regarding Teoscar, it really sounds like they'll get him or it'll disappoint Vlad. Frankly I'm shocked they're looking into it and not squashing it before it gets too loud. While he may not come at a premium there is some type of price and what about the off-season? Are they going to let him walk? It's such a stop gap idea hoping for lightning in a bottle to hit from nostalgia. If they do this move I know they are more or less just hoping something works which again, isn't a plan. I'd be very disappointed.
