Also sounds like he got pissed off over Ace Steel or whatever his name is not getting to work backstage at the new show, and that was one of his conditions for his return.

Superstar Billy Graham died yesterday at 79. He'd been in poor health for years, but I guess took a really bad turn a few months back.
Pretty much the prototype for the 80s-style wrestler.
Yeah, he'd been really sick for like 15 years or so, a lot of it self inflicted steroid damage, combined with ring damage.
A semi regular staple at Stampede Wrestling.
He was the prototype for Hogan in a lot of ways, he was spectacularly good on the mic with a ton of charisma and good in the ring. But when he transitioned to Kung Foo Billy Graham and came to the ring in a karate outfit and pretending to be a martial artist, well it was sad to see. But years later I read that it was because his body was completely broken down and he couldn't take impacts.
An outright outspoken critic of McMahon years later, a guy that for a long time hated the industry.
RIP

The 10 new episodes for Dark Side of the Ring season 4 are:
Chris Candido & Tammy
Magmum T.A
Adrian Adonis
Doink the Clown
Junkyard Dog
Marty Jannetty
Bam Bam Bigelow
Abdullah The Butcher
Bash at the Beach 2000
The Graham Family
I honestly can't wait for the Bash at the Beach 2000 episode. That PPV was an absolute cluster####.
That a pretty solid lineup.
I remember how big Magnum TA was in the South, I remember he was the continual cover guy on PWI, and his fued with Nikita Koloff was amazing. I also remember the shock through the industry when he had that tragic crash.
Doink the Clown could be really interesting. I'm assuming they're following Maniac Matt Borne who was a pretty big tragedy. One of the most interesting heel debuts, and then went on to suck as a face. But Borne could flat out wrestle. He was a poster boy for the drug addled WWE.
Marty, I'm almost surprised that they want to do him, but he was the typical out of control person. I remember that WWE expected him to be the more successful of the Rockers. I also heard that he did several posts on Twitter a few years back talking about how he wanted to um have relations with his daughter.
The Cris Candido Tammy Sytch one should really be a two parter. I mean both of them were un repentant drug addicts. But Candido's death was absolutely tragic. Candido was a really good talent, especially in his later years in the independents. Tammy could be called a tragic story, and part of her problems were caused by putting a 20 year old girl in a wrestling locker room at the time, and rushing her to stardom. But part of it is I'm convinced she's a sociopath.
Last I heard she was still in jail, and they weren't letting her out pretrial. She's facing 75 years in prison, and she's been reaching out to her former friends begging for money.
WWE tried to help her multiple times and she kept walking away from them and they finally threw up their hands. I'm surprised that they haven't made her persona Non Grata.
I love the Dark Side of the Ring and the Tales from the territories series.

The Following User Says Thank You to CaptainCrunch For This Useful Post:
God damn, every time Hangman comes back, the crowd goes absolutely bat####. Makes you wish they'd actually book him decently. Just listen to this pop at 1:30.
The night of Champion has shown how good woman's wrestling can be. So far the Trish vs Becky match was excellent. Asuka upset Bianca in a very good match.
The other matches, AJ and Rollins and the IC match were very good.
On a side note, I saw the video of the Impact Main Event with PCO and Maclin was the absolute worst of garbage wrestling. At one point PCO had his mouth stapled shut and then pulled the staples out with Pliars. Who books this trash?

Please get LA Knight into some kind of title program. This guy is so over it’s insane. My fave character / talent on any of the three brands by far. Dude is must-watch TV.
I thought that was kind of a weak ppv, maybe AEWs worst
Four pillars was great, cant remember the last MJF match that wasnt
Anarchy in the arena was fun
Rest was kinda meh, some nice moments but crowd was so dead the first 2 hours it didnt help either
Nah, they've definitely had worse. I thought it was pretty good. The last two matches were incredible. I also enjoyed the Battle Royale and the trios match. The women's match was decent. Jericho/Cole was a bit of a letdown.
That said, Jeff Jarrett should not be on a PPV in 2023.
The storytelling in the Four Pillars match was really good. Loved the spot where each member hit the signature moves of their mentors.
I like the Pillars match, though suddenly Darby Allen who falls off of 20 story buildings and keeps going is pretty much knocked out with a bump on a belt. But overall it was good.
Didn't care about the battle royal, knew no matter what Cassidy was going on. This is like the Andre the Giant thing, its to give people with nothing to do a paycheck.
We know Jericho really can't work anymore, but Cole just isn't the same wrestler that he used to be, and having an unsanctioned match end like that is weird. I still think having Sabu participate after his off kilter racist rants was a strange choice. Tony needs to get Jericho out of the ring, make him a commissioner, or a commentator the company needs a lot of help there, or get Tony to give Chris a billion dollars to go on tour.
The tag team championship match was ok, though maybe because the best part was Karen killing Aubrey and Aubrey's over the top sell of it.
Wardlow against Christian was decent, its a shame they've basically booked Wardlow into oblivion because he is really talented, they should have him murdering the roster.
Hayter vs Storm, was a nothing burger because it was just a way to get Hayter off of TV because of her very real injury. I miss NXT Storm who was a great worker, AEW Storm just isn't.
House of Black vs the Acclaimed. All of these guys can work with is great. I didn't like the pacing of the match. This was a dynamite quality match, nothing special.
The whole Jade thing was cocaine fueled booking. To take your 60-0 undefeated champion and end that with zero build up is bizarre. At the same time, Jade is the drizzling poop anyways.
Stop putting Jeff Hardy in the ring, that was just utterly depressing.
The Elite vs BCC - Weird blackface band. Just a #### show, was it entertaining? Sure. But I really think Moxley is terrible, and he drags down Bryan and Claudio. Was hoping the explosive boot thing would have torn Mox's head off in the ultimate blade job. Like I said, this thing was just sheer nonsense, but it was entertaining from a roller derby perspective.
Weird decision, to have all of those empty seats on the hard cam, so the arena looked empty. This wasn't a good crowd, and pictures of the arena showed not great attendance.
There is talent on the roster. But its being smothered. Jericho needs to go. Hardy, I don't want to see him in the ring anymore, his work is just sad now. I would be happy if they sent Mox off for a while. Cole maybe HHH disguised a lot of his weaknesses, but he's not that great anymore. That chain choke was good, but his punches were awful.
It wasn't a great PPV, elements of it were good, but it just feels like AEW is at that cross roads right now, and not to sound mean, but if Tony is booking this which he is. He needs to go off the Bolivian jumping powder.
