You are well within your right to disagree. But for the time being I'll chalk this up to a "meh" signing.
To be fair, most of the Pats "meh" signings play a big part on their team. And that may be the case. But Bodden is an average corner. But he's young, so going forward he will help the Pats who have always been fairly old in the secondary.

I guess i may be lookine to much into the prove it contract that he got. im hoping for the Bodden from Cleveland not Detroit. Last time he needed a contract he was pretty great (2007)
I was totally kidding about the hatin comment haha sorry to much rap music

Bodden was on Sirius NFL Radio this afternoon and talked about his free agency experience. It sounds like he was looking for a multi-year deal and blamed the weak free agent market for not being able to find one. He said he was happy with a one year deal with the Patriots and would try to prove himself and earn an extension...
He also talked about moving from Cleveland's 3-4 defense to the Detroit "Tampa 2" scheme, and it sounded like he really didn't like playing in Cover 2 that much!
I actually think he's a pretty good fit for the Patriots...

Cutler situation gets worst: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/s...=ESPNHeadlines
You know what honestly, if Cutler is gonna be a big drama queen about this, get rid of him then. I don't like the potential of him having a sideshow of him fighting the coaches and the organization. The locker room needs to be as close to being on the same page as possible and doesn't need mindless distractions like this from their team leader.
Him and the coach are looking like complete fools right now. McDaniels for even considering the trade, and Cutler for making this blow out of proportion.

I listened to that to. Very encouraging sounds like a bright kid. Wants to prove himself to the pats on a one year deal to earn a long term deal with them next year.
Im very excited about this signing..
Doesnt hurt that he id getting vet league min. Sounds like a very good addition... we shall see

Andre Smith's stock falling even more after his pro day.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shu...urn=nfl,147436
I heard them talking about it on Sirius NFL Radio yesterday. They said he ran the 40 with his shirt off and there was all sorts of flab and rolls. Sounds like this kid just doesn't get it.

But in all fairness to the kid, he's a 300 and some odd pound offensive lineman. Is he not supposed to be flabby and/or rolly?
It's like seeing Bryant McKinnie run with no shirt, or any other offesnive lineman. There ARE offensive lineman who are built like tanks, but for the most part they are all fat pigs.

Well it must be a problem if the pro scouts think it is. He also only had 19 reps in the bench press. Plenty of CB's can reach that as well as that one place kicker who jacked 25 reps (although that is unheard of).

Oh ya, I know, I agree he's probably out of shape. I'm really just playing devi's advocate really.

More on the Cutler saga
http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_11910137
I'm afraid Pat Bowlen is going to rue the day he fired Shanahan. I didn't like the move then and I like it even less now. Huge mistake.

Yeah, not my first choice for the Eagles to add either. Although Holt's probably has some left in the tank. Last season wasn't great for him, but on a decent team he could still contribute.

You can blame Bowlen for firing Shanahan Dis...but this right here is completely unacceptable and entirely on Cutlers apparently immature shoulders.
I get he is pissed at McDaniels...rightly or wrongly, but when you shirk the guy that has filled your bank account for the last 3 years, and is adored by almost every player to have been through denver, then there is a BIG problem with you. (Cutler i mean) He needs to really give his head a shake and grow up...at least treat Bowlen with some respect....he has done nothing to the kid.
Unreal.
That being said, Clayton was on ESPN this AM and stated quite frankly that Cutler is going nowhere as far as he can teall and he usually has a pretty good handle on these things.
