2-0 win carried by a 45 save shutout by Mike Smith.
Can't see Carolina with that type of won.

I’m not actually sure what that has to do with this series. I’m not talking about a streak, I’m talking about the fact that this Florida team is a bad matchup for this Carolina team, the scores have reflected that, and there’s been no sign this is mental or momentum based.

Or was it just that the Ducks team the Flames struggled with aged out and then suddenly the Ducks were in a re-build and the Flames could win there.
Florida struggled to beat Tampa...until they just built a better team than Tampa.
Now the entire Eastern conference is struggling to beat Florida, and the entire Western conference is struggling to beat Edmonton.
It's not just because it's mental - it's because they have just built teams stronger than the rest of the conference.
And generally teams like this have 3 year windows of dominance...then age, cap, free agency, etc levels the playing field out again and the next dominant team will replace them.

Off-topic but these quotes are why I want the Flames to keep Pospisil. Similar qualities.

I get the rest vs rust debate but the Panthers need the rest, take the risk with rust. Finish the Canes off tonight

Well I guess the good news is with those injuries we’ll probably find out what happens if Carolina wins.

Going 0-16 In last 4 conference finals would be on of the craziest stats ever.

Betting site did the odds. Something like .0035 chance to ever happen. Mentioned you have better chance of getting 3 green 00 in a row in roulette or 8 straight 21 on blackjack.

Did they yell Red! During the anthem because of Chucky and Bennett?
That better be the reason. Otherwise, thieves.

Terrible call to Florida. Don’t think that was embellishment at all.

Imagine if the oilers were called to that same standard. They’d never have a powerplay

That’s an awful embellishment call. Staal’s stick was in both chucky’s armpits. Legacy call because it’s tkachuk

Jesus...I don't know what Tkachuk needed to do differently. it was like a can opener to the upper body.

You could see a goal coming for Carolina since about halfway through the 1st. Panthers to this point only playing their B+ game, not their A game.
However, they woke up a bit on that last shift as Schmidt rang it hard off the post. Let's see if they start getting more aggressive.
