I would find it really odd that Florida went through a full transition from skilled run and gun hockey, to getting more skilled players that play with more grit and pest like to let go of one of the key pieces of that transformation in Bennett who is a known playoff performer to sign a playoff flake who is soft like Marner.

Man I hope so. The only thing we should look at doing this off-season is moving up in the draft (if reasonable), and dealing with the Rasmus situation. Stay the course and don't overspend. Only thing I would do is weaponize that cap space all the way to the next TDL if need be (similar to the Monahan trade, but the other way around this time).

Same, it’s what I wanted to hear at least. Sounds like they might not even sign filler guys. There was a small bit about trying to trade for a Cozens like center the pro scouts like but they didn’t identity who they thought it would be.

Based off Conroys comments about cap space not as valuable and the spike, it seems like only a handful of teams would be in need of cap relief. Most of them are bare in the prospect department as well.

Really sucks timing wise for us.
