I doubt he will. Huska will only play him and Suniev when the Flames are mathematically eliminated.

'04 was a happy accident along the way, but outside of that... what have we done that's been any different than what we're doing right now? Dog fight for the last spot and the chance to get swept by Winnipeg... but more likely miss by 2-4 points and draft middle of the pack again.
I'm never not going to be a Flames fan... but I think it's fair to say they've earned the "talk to me when you try something different" outlook I have right now.

Can we suggest the inside voice going forward then?

I’ve been strongly in the “don’t force Zayne into the lineup” camp, but it’s like the team took every opportunity to give Huska reasons to play him Friday. 0-6 on the power play? Zayne can help. Top four d-men playing like ####? Zayne could help. Need a game breaker? Zayne can do that.

If Frost is injured, I could see Suniev getting in tomorrow.
Honestly, does anyone think Parekh would be a step down from any one of Bean, Pachal, or Hanley at this point?

Not sure why Hanley keeps getting thrown under the bus.
76% xGF% at 5 on 5 last night and a +1

Ever hear the joke with the punchline ".....but you **** one goat." Hanley did that last night. Weegar was there too, and the forwards and all of that, but Hanley seems to be taking the brunt of the criticism.

No. Most are simply saying he needs, and will get, a couple of skates and practices with the team before Huska throws him into the lineup.

There is NO way in the world Zayne Parekh would not give at least as much of an effort as the rest of the dmen. Sure there's a risk he might make a mistake, so what! Weegar was -2 in 8 seconds.
The fact that they even had Backlund and his 12 goals on the ice speaks to how desperately the Flames need skill and talent

You're questioning effort?

Effort isn't the issue. The team is playing hurt and exhausted from the rough style they are being forced to play due to lack of talent.

yes, there was a significant lack of effort to get pucks to the net on 6 powerplays

They look exhausted out there. They are working their tails off right now, no doubt. They have to play twice as hard as their opponents just to have a chance. It’s catching up with them. All the more reason to see Zayne play in the next game, it’s time.

Effort or skill?
You think they were on 6 powerplay and weren't trying to score?

Yeah he made one bad play on the 3-3 goal, that was actually exacerbated by an even worse decision by Kadri to be too aggressive when Hanley was already in a bad spot.
Nothing he really could have done much different on the 3-2 goal. That's all on Pospisil with an absolutely horrific giveaway.

Something tells me Zayne and Adyar are going to take a solo lap tomorrow night at the Dome.

I like the idea, if Frost is out, of running 11-7 to give Zayne PP time and some sheltered ES minutes.

Sure feels like the play to me.
Suniev can wait until they're eliminated.

ZP's shifts on right side of Weegar. Shifting him to his offside isn't foreign to him and helps protect him.

Well both and I think Parekh solves a portion of each of these elements
I'm not expecting him to come in a push them over the edge but he provides a missing piece and the way he can skate and use his edges and stickhandle he creates openings for a shot.

Yep. Felt like a clear sign from above.
Where the Flames came up short Zayne specifically adds.
