I’m glad the Flames picked Zayne but Silayev ain’t no lug. What makes him intriguing is how big he is and how well he skates

Can you imagine not including this guy on your Team Canada Juniors squad?

They look so dumb. They looked dumb then but now even dumber.

Hopefully the Flames can get Shane Wright treatment with Parekh and he can play in the AHL next season. He will likely get CHL Defenceman of the year again, there's is nothing left to prove at that level.

Exciting for sure, but not a lot of NHLers on this list.
The Fogarty story is a bit of a sad one, what could have been?

Yeah. Unreal talent, then to have substance abuse rob him of his career and ultimately his life barely past 30. Tragic.

You have to think it likely wouldn't happen today, I heard he was a full blown alcoholic in his early teens so there was obviously a major failure between his parents and coaches, later on I think it was Pierre Page who in his wisdom decided to pair up Fogarty with John Kordic as roommates in hope they would push each other to stay sober

Such a waste

Flames legend Rik Wilson on that list as well. Probably the laziest defender to ever don the red and gold (and that was only two games!).

Yeah the worse I see our top pairing play and the more I see Parekh play, the more excited I get that he is what we need.

I just hope Huska doesn't coach Parekh creative juices out of him with X's & O's

When you have a unicorn you have to let him use his horn to stab the opposition.

His shot reminds me a lot of Monahan's; he's not going to take a big hard slapshot but he's got such a quick little snap on it that looks weak but always finds the net.

Flames as an organization have been guilty of this. Having Tkachuk behave. Talking about playing the right way. Always hated that phrase what is the right way?

Sometimes you just have to let guys fly and be themselves mistakes and all.

Or ... and hear me out!

Develop the other side of his game so he can become an elite, all purpose NHL defenseman!

The idea that coaches instruct to not be creative in the offensive zone is such a silly over played myth by hockey fans.
