McKenna's point streak is now at 50 games, one more to pass Radulov for the longest CHL point streak this century.

McKenna now alone with a 51 game point streak, Tigers lead 6-0 late in period 2, and I think Willie D would be smart to limit the shifts of his top guys in period 3 as the Hurricanes are understandably quite angry and looking for a pound of flesh.

Smart move getting Harry out of the nets after the shut out was gone.
I expect game 3 is going to be way closer than the first two games. Canes will get a much needed couple days of rest and come out very hungry on home ice trying to turn this series around.

Well that was an experience at the Co-Op Place. I have to say that you could really see the length of playoffs starting to wear on the Hurricanes. Especially their 4 D. So many open looks for the Tigers in the slot who were in hunt mode.
Was talking with Braillard and he has started to skate again at least, but is waiting medical clearance, so we'll see what happens there.
I do have to give props to the Tigers fans. There was an energy in that building as soon as I walked in. Started to feel like the old Arena again. But if they could find a way to fix the PA announcer, that would help because you couldn't hear him at all in the upper deck

Spokane blew a 5-3 lead in the 3rd period tonight as Portland scored two goals late in the 3rd to force OT, but Chase Harrington scored the OT winner for the Chiefs and they have a 2-0 lead in the series as it now shifts to Portland for games 3 and 4.

There might be more to this story than meets the eye (or that Dustin Forbes decided to leave out).

Well that sucks, and good on that lady for stepping up and conveying what she witnessed. Sounds like Forbes may have been duped by a Karen molded girlfriend who needs to reign in her offspring.
And even if the story Forbes told was true he still shouldn't be painting an entire city with the same brush.

Yeah, every fanbase has a few jerks (yes, even Tigers fans lol), but Forbes is the PxP voice of the Hurricanes and should be a little more careful how he frames the incident. He did put out a tweet to that effect so good on him for that (although still no admission that his kids might have stepped over the line with the horns).

Both accounts of this story can be true and in my opinion is the most likely outcome. Did some Tigers fans tell the kids blowing the horns to settle down and did they do so in a manner that could be perceived as threatening? it's quite possible. The bottom line is everybody should be able to attend a hockey game regardless of who they are rooting for and cheering for the visiting team is fine, but if you're dealing with somebody constantly tooting a horn throughout the game, it would get pretty annoying.
This is where ushers/security need to be notified and if needed, they can make the call. I mean, I'm pretty sure that's part of their job.

Nice start for the Canes tonight, 2-0 lead after 1.
Tigers had their chances but couldn't convert.

Canes playing their best game of the series combined with the Tigers offering up more turnovers than a bakery.

Molendyk struggling. Down a man and another lost his stick, he gets the puck with tons of time and fans on the clearing attempt, few seconds later it's 4-1.
Stupid penalty by McCann too for that same powerplay after the Tigers quickly scored after the 3-0 goal. Just cratered the Tigers momentum.

Yeah, really bad sequence there. That said, if the Tigers can cut the lead to 1 going into period 3, that would make things very interesting.
