This would be like signing Roy Halladay and Carlos Delgado in their primes to about $25 million per season each. Of course, that's assuming he comes back pitching like an ace in 2024.

Dave Roberts admitted they met with him the last few days. So that means the Dodgers went against his wishes and are out of it for leaking it right? Right?

I think his wishes would have been more don't admit to it just before or while it's happening so he doesn't have to deal with the media stalking him when he shows up.
I don't think he would hold it against a team for admitting they've made their pitch after the fact. Especially a team like the Dodgers who everyone knows would be one of the considered teams.

Yeah. It sounded like a confident quote from Roberts. Almost like they think they have it in the bag without saying it. The nice thing was that apparently they met a few days ago. Jays were apparently yesterday. Hopefully there’s a recency bias.
