Fair enough, I try to not swing too hard in either direction. I know that high pressure losses can really bring people down.

No clue what tweet you are referring too. Just didn’t want to do the math.

It's happening! This is incredible. Two points back with the head to head still to play.

Alright! So beat WPG in our head-to-head and gain one more point than they do in the rest of the remaining games (where they face more playoff teams than we do). Achievable.

Maybe, when all is said and done, those who were arguing that the standings were significantly impacted by strength of schedule will be vindicated.

Perhaps, but the flames beating LA and the Jets losing to SJ runs counter to that narrative

Definitely. The head to head is obviously huge. The Flames just played their toughest opponent left... And won. The only team they have left to play in a playoff position are the Jets themselves.

The Canucks are playing better of late, but hopefully they finally call it in for the tank.

Flames are now in control of their own destiny against NSH, and are 1 pt from being in control of their own destiny against the Jets

True enough, but no team either wins or loses all 82 games, so some games are going to have unexpected outcomes. It's really more of an expected trend over time.

Flames need to get a streak going, they are sitting at 2 games winning streak, beat the Nux on Friday, then the Ducks then the Hawks that's 5 game winning streak before facing the Jets. Let's go streaking, Flames.

NSFW!

I did not think they were going to win that game. I also didn’t think Wpg would lose to SJ.

Pretty sure the Cgy/Wpg game will decide who makes it. If Markstrom plays well in that game I think the Flames will take it.

Am I the only one more concerned about Nashville than Winnipeg? Nashville has 2 games in hand, and might get some momentum from that big win in Boston. 8/9/10 could easily end up Nash/Cgy/Win...

I've been saying for a while that the Jets are taking water. Something's up with that team. Not sure what's up with the Predators though. Beating the Bruins is huge for them.
