He was implying overtime and a longer game, so they should get comfortable

He's had 3 good shots for rebounds, 2 that went right to Mangi on partial odd man rushes. Unlucky for one of those not to result in a goal IMO.

Backlund has been good from what I've seen.

I think the thing is he's one of the few flames that have been able to generate rush chances. He hasn't been able to capitalize yet unfortunately.

He's done more offensively than the other flames Cs so far tonight.

Oddly, the guy the Flames really need the most right now is Old Monahan. Lots of garbageman opportunities in this series so far.

Really though, I think this game is the product of two well-coached teams playing effective defence-first hockey. It's frustrating to watch (probably for Dallas fans too), but nothing that can't be cured by the Flames actually converting on their chances - especially on the PP. They just need to understand they're not likely to string 5 passes together in the offensive zone against this team.

I think he was saying the panel should get comfortable for a long night, i.e. overtime.

One great period away from taking a commanding series lead.

Backlund's line has been good.
First line not getting it done at all so far.

hate to say it but I agree with Friedman. it's only 1-0, we need to step it up, connect with some passes, and grind this one out.

Down one game to none on the road. Hostile building... does anyone think Dallas is having a tough time tonight? Is this a tough game for them? No.

I believe that if they can get one they'll get a few. Just have to get that seemingly elusive first goal.

I think I'm gonna stay on the Nashvill/Colorado game, much more entertaining to watch

I think he was suggesting this will be a long night, and the panel should expect multiple overtimes.

Did you expect them to go 16-0?

In 04, the Flames were 15-12 (16-10, really)

I refuse to wear flames jerseys while watching playoff games. It's been useless since 04. At what point should I give it a shot??

Healthy Monahan would be dynamite.
