I donated 20 dollars anonymously, I've had to admit that now because of pressure from others who feel only those that donated should have a post-able opinion. It is not my fault you or others can't see them.

Have you, Jiri or btidbit donated? If you haven't perhaps you should stop posting.

P.S. Btw, FG did not initiate the gofundme request. Someone else suggested it and the idea took off.

Someone mentioned they've donated to lesser things and FlamesGimp replied saying "should I start a GoFundMe", it was pretty quick.

Those "why do we do that thing" counter posts will accomplish nothing here.

And it's taking away from the entertainment value (which I care about most).

When people's dollars are involved there's going to be an extra layer of cynicism and suspicion.

Wait to challenge people until someone actually judges him once proven innocent/legitimate. Until then there's no point. I'd really just let it be.

To be fair I wouldn't put myself in the position FG has here, which is a tough one.

If I were to ask for funding, I'd definitely provide follow ups to the people that helped me with the means to create the project. I wouldn't let them sit 3 days (and counting) waiting to receive confirmation that the thing even got done.

He may very well be legit with this, and I hope that it is, but he's not doing himself many favors in buying continued good faith from those here who contributed.

Most people would've been more upfront and less generally dodgy.

Now understand that's also not an assault on his character. That's merely observation from how this thing has progressed based on what we can see here.

I get that people are not happy.

I get that people want to get their knives out and carve FG to pieces.

It is an assult on his character when those making the comments could simply phone the company doing his van and find out what the truth is.

My earlier point still stands though. Re-read my post. What if your "calling" (as you like to call it) cause some terrible things to real people? Would your crusades still be justified to you then? If you do this for the "forum justice", then it's plain stupid. If you do this for fun, then you are a terrible person. Again, take a step back and think about "what if".

The rest of your post is nonsense. If FlamesGimp, or anyone in this situation, was just open and honest about things, it'd be fine. Instead he's been dodgy at best. I'm not the guy that's potentially scammed people, in fact I still hold out hope this gets done, you trying to turn the tables around is childish. There is no crusade, I stayed out of the thread until FlamesGimp @ my username gloating about an apparent email transfer. (after harassing direct messages threatening police action). He seems like a big talker.. until he isn't.
