Flames were the better team through the first two periods, but as usual the Coilers get the make up calls in the third and double/triple shift the McDingus German crapbag line until they get the lead.

Not too much to be upset about, other than someone didn't take Frankenberry's head off after that dangerous hit directly into Dube's back.

And lastly, the Coilers play by play guy is painful. Creaming himself all game, and thinks the Coilers won the Cup by virtue of their lucky win tonight. Goaltending and D and anyone not named McDingus/German Crapbag still a joke on the Coilers.

This is the type of game that can’t happen during the regular season. Up by 3 on a Sutter coached team can’t have these results. Opportunities are going to be tough to come by and you’ve got to lock it down with the lead. Not overly concerned since it’s pre season but troubling to see this team with the same bad habits.

And that's why the damn army is being deployed in Alberta. I know you can have it off to eat and drink but just outright none wearing everywhere.

That was a typical Flames v oilers. I counted 4 trips and 2 interference calls in the final 5 that didn't get called on the Oilers.

Some good stuff in that game, and some bad stuff. Hate to see the team pull the foot off the gas peddle and let the Oilers back in the game. Too much like teams over recent years past. Sutter still has some serious work to do with group. Really liked Kylington and Dueher again. Hard decisions to be made there.

Just have to lock it down. They'll get better at it. They're a Sutter team.

100% Johnny getting taken out of action had an effect on the bench I think. But they have to battle through those developments and not let it shake them.
