Wow. Bialik really does have a dry personality. Is she hosting just because of the name recognition?

OMG just saw the Harriet Tubman final from a year ago where Sadie was robbed. I’m angry what a joke!

Also Mayim is just the worst. Can’t stand her long pauses, interruptions, and not asking contestants to be more specific. How is she still in the job in 2023?

That j-scorer site works fine on the phone. You can't change the amounts for the Daily Double or make a wager for Final Jeopardy, but it's simple and easy. Also, I crushed those three tonight!

That was a pretty emotional win tonight. Dude won it in honor of his brother who lost a battle to brain cancer, and his intention is to donate the winnings to his school in his honor.
I don't think he led the entire game either until the end. great game overall. Best one in weeks.

You can't bet your own on DD or Final on a computer either.

Also, you don't lose any money if you get the DD wrong.

Sounds like it's just measuring your Coryat score. It's a better stat for measuring how well you play because it doesn't factor in betting.

Getting a DD right will only add the original value of the clue.

Ken back hosting on Monday to close out the season, since Mayim is sitting out in support of the writer's strike. Unfortunate for Mayim, I thought she was starting to get into a groove lately and was starting to grow on me.

Ken is still much better though.

Oof, Alex cost himself the game missing a “gimmie” daily double.

Medical category, but that was more of a baseball trivia question

I knew it right away. But I'm guessing Alex isn't a big sports or baseball guy

That final jeopardy was messy

Final was messy, but that Daily Double... man, so easy... but if you don't follow baseball even casually I can see how you'd be in the dark.

I was basically screaming TOMMY JOHN at the TV

Somewhat on topic but not really CTV's Battle of the Generations isn't bad. Well like the show itself doesn't have a great feel, but I like the questions and structure of the game.

I know the guy from PEI that was on episode 3.

I've only watched a few minutes of Battle of the Generations and I just can't get over the fact that there is no audience. Also, it's ridiculously easy. I saw a little of it last night and my first thought was "how can I get there?" because I'm pretty sure I'd make $25k that hour.

i thought tommy john surgery would be more well known outside of sports. Like you won't have to know baseball to know lou gehrig's disease.

It also shows how well rounded you have to be to win continuously on Jeopardy.

I don't think I've ever heard mention of Tommy John surgery other than in reference to a baseball player getting it. So, if you don't follow baseball, I could see it being something you haven't heard of (or heard of enough to come to you in that short time).

Even calling it Lou Gehrig's Disease seems less common now, replaced mostly by ALS. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people under 40 have never heard it referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

At this point I think far and away more people associate the disease with Stephen Hawking than they do Lou Gehrig.

The lack of an audience drives me bonkers. Celebrating to no one is just awkward.

The set looks cool though. And I agree on cleaning up on the answers. They are either super easy or you wouldn't have a clue.

I can't think of an instance of the term Tommy John Surgery used outside of baseball.

I also agree on ALS, society has moved away from Lou Gehrig's disease, almost like it has away from the term Old Timer's Disease or Alzheimers.

Alex also didn't get the "kissing disease"/mono clue, which should be a gimme for a medical student
