But that's it. A fully healthy Lakers and the Suns are out in 5 games. Jazz are a bit more complex because they might be able to beat the Clippers with Kawhi, but still they went from 50/50 to win the series to 90/10 now. Luck is always a part of sports, whether it's lucky bounces or injury luck or scheduling luck. There is no such thing as a 100% earned title, there's always other factors involved.

You can't dismiss a title because of injury. That's ridiculous. It's part of the game. Especially when you are dealing with basketball players who put on a lot of minutes. Like Embiid could be the best player in the league if he could consistently play 43 minutes. But he can't. His body breaks down.
The fact that Durant played 48 last night after shredding his Achilles two years ago is incredible.

Chris Paul out indefinitely after entering COVID protocols, even though he got vaccinated.
It’s a good thing the Suns swept, hopefully he won’t miss too much time.

Ah, sucks for Kawhi. As much as I'm not rooting for the Clippers, I love watching Kawhi dominate when he gets into his playoff clutch rhythm.
Two more HC firings today: Brooks in Washington and SVG in New Orleans, bringing the total vacancies to 5. Billups, Cassell, and Hammond are the three assistants who are really interesting to watch to see if they finally get a team.
From a Raptors perspective, I think this is a good thing. Raptors still have an unfilled vacancy from Finch leaving midseason, and it sounds likely Sergio is gone to a Spanish team. The ripple-down effect of coaching staffs being turned over means that there will be a lot of talented assistants moving to new teams, and with Nurse getting a reputation as one of the top HCs, he should be able to recruit some excellent assistants.

Yeah kinda torn on my feelings here as well. His dunk on Favors was fun and reminded me of his moments during the Raptors championship run.
But I really dislike the Clippers and their owner more specifically and I love watching Utah light it up. The energy in their building is infectious. Hoping they can use this advantage and close out the Clippers now.

I believe in the Jays.

I wonder how many teams are wishing they gave up a little more to get Lowry.

LMAO that was an even worse choke job than the Bucks last night. The Doc Rivers curse is real.

You know you had a monumental choke when you played an Atlanta team and choked that hard.

From the south park guys.... book of mormons
When I was young my dad,
Would treat my mom real bad,
every time the Utah Jazz would lose.
He'd start a' drinking,
and I'd start a thinking,
How am I gonna keep my mom from getting abused?

So Zion apparently already wants out of New Orleans. Probably time to move them to Seattle with new owners, NBA can only rig so many draft lotteries to help them since it doesn't really matter.

Jazz doing their best choke job in the third. We're gonna be force fed another round of Steve Ballmer aren't we?

Beyond frustrating. They brought this on themselves.

Why they left Mitchell sitting on the bench so long in the third while the Clippers were going nuts is beyond me. But the jazz couldn't hit a shot to save their lives.
