I'd like to see someone else on the PP than Buddy. He kinda sucks. I'd rather see more skill out there.

There is a ton of competition at the bottom of the roster this year.

And into the season too this time around. He is fast and he has a wicked wrister and he said he really put in the work this summer. I just have this feeling he is going to be an important cog for us this year.

On the plus side, I’m eager to see if Ryan can do for someone like Czarnik and/or Dube what he did for Hathaway and Mangiapane last year.

Giordano looked possessed out there tonight. He was aggressive and as FAST as I've ever seen him.

Kylington has looked good.

Dube is killing it. Phillips too.

that shift showed the downside of Czarnik - can't win a board battle and gets into trouble in his own end

I remember "its just pre-season" talk with Smith last season but it followed him right into the regular season
Did you conveniently forget "its just pre-season" talk with Rittich last season? Because he was equally as bad as Smith, and then started his year on an absolute tear when the games mattered.

As much as pre-season games are practically meaningless for veteran NHL skaters, they are even moreso meaningless for veteran NHL goalies. People really need to let these poor performances at this time of year go. There is NO correlation to what will happen when the season begins.

Yeah, lots of fans wanted Rittich sent to Stockton and Gillies stay with the big club.

Pre-season is almost meaningless for goalies.

A few years ago the Chad had a horrific preseason. But then, after Elliot faltered, he came in and simply didn’t lose (for a while).
