Janko the best possible 4th liner available the first round.
Feasters mark on this team lives on .
Not only that Feaster choices were Sven, Granlund and Wotherspoon.
Wotherspoon was chosen the pick right before Kucherov.
What a dark history.
Thats Flames hockey tho. Always choosing the wrong guys . I still hate we took Kidd before Broduer.

Their best players *are* better than Calgary’s.
And they are playing their best.
And Calgary’s next tier have had costly lapses with attention to detail

I don’t blame Gaudreau for playing badly - he needs help. But if one were to make a highlight reel of his play, complaining, and embellishment in this series it would be both long and depressing.

What did he say that was wrong?
Also that’s an awful take.

I've watched a fair bit of Penguins hockey Phil Kessel is not afraid to grind it out in the corners and throw hits. He's not easy to play against Gaudreau actively shies away from anything resembling contact.

I'd go Rittich as well to try and change the style of play.
I hate "hold onto the lead" hockey. This looks like Gulutzan trauma. The one man forecheck mentioned earlier has to stop, send two or three players. Pressure the Avs.
It's the wrong brand of hockey, these guys can't do it.

Remember the good old days when the question was whether the Flames goaltending would let them down?
And here we are and Smith has a 0.930+ save percentage and as many points as Johnny "almost 100 points" Gaudreau.

Bad take
Fleury has every right to opine on what makes a clutch player. He was a gamer when it mattered throughout his entire career.
And f--k right off bringing up his personal issues.

The biggest indictment of all is Derek Ryan on the Fan saying that he thought they executed the game plan tonight. What kind of game plan allows for 51 shots on goal and being doubled in scoring chances. Pathetic. I could not have imagined this scenario happening last week. This is completely utterly unfathomable.

I don't think the Flames should blow up the team.
But I do think it's clear that Treliving needs to acquire top-end talent.
Gaudreau and Giordano aren't enough, especially not in the playoffs.
Guys like Panarin, Skinner, Duchene, Lee may be available as UFA's this summer. I hope the Flames trade away Brodie (for anything) and sign one of these guys.
Other than that, I don't think the Flames need to do much.

Wtf, get the hell out of here. One, at least get his name right. Two, who was there with Fleury? He always played with heart.
MOD EDIT: Removed insult.

Changing goalies isn't going to change style of play.
Also Smith has earned the right to see this through without question.

I have zero doubt the Flames can come back and win 1 in Col and 2 at home. Zero doubt after this season. They have to figure out what the Avs are doing and am genuinely surprised they haven't adapted or figured it out.
My cavaet is that Smith has to continue to play lights out, and if he has some bad goals creep in, that's the trouble.
Nothing left but hope. Plenty of time for navel gazing when it's all over. Which won't be Friday.

I just mean they ran him outta town saying you couldn't win with him...when he got help he won the cup and lead the pens in scoring. He needed help, some players can't carry a team on their back.
Gaudreau is not a 12M top three pick superstar...he just isn't

He obviously meant Rittich instead of Brodie/Neal/Take-your-pick. ;p
