Yeah if the Leafs don't sign Tavares they are kind of screwed. I guess they will have to put Nylander at 3C.

Most of the 3Cs have been signed now.

I’m torn between wanting Him to sign a 13 mil contract with the leafs and them having to lose some of their guys vs him waiting and signing with the Isles and leaving the leafs hanging

No way Leafs sign him for that much. Unless Dubas goes insane.

Also Brian Burke looks like a vampire. And he loves talking about found wallets.

Probably Sabres.

"Hmmm I could sign this ridiculous contract, but then I'd have to play for Buffalo. Hmmmm..."

I’m guessing it would be a team outside of the 6.

I would love to see him end up in Buffalo

1. Stays out east
2. Sticks it to Toronto
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 for 7 years

Rooting for Toronto. I’d love to see them be a stud team. Leafs fans don’t really bug me.

Dreger saying signs point to Toronto. Leafs were calling multiple agents about their clients and then suddenly stopped.

Rooting for this to take as long as possible. Takes teams out of the rest of the market

Equally likely that when they heard Tavares was not signing their that they offed themselves though.

I'd love to see him play for Mars. They have a great atmosphere at their games and the fans are burning with passion. Heyy-yoo!

Buffalo?!?! Seriously? Buffalo?

He is going to leave the NYI to go to an even bigger tire fire.

Yes, yes, I know, they got Dahlin, but still right now the Sabres are at Oilers level of ineptitude. Until you can legitimately show the league you are for real your team is still a joke.

If so that's some nice depth at centre. Tavares or Mathews as a 2nd line centre? Lol. Then kadri as a 3rd line center

Well that's why he's gotta think about it, right? If it was a really desirable team offering the biggest contract then it's a no-brainer.

True, but at least it isn't the Sharks. And it opens the door to Toronto trading one of their good young forwards who they most definitely wouldn't be able to re-sign all of next summer. Good opportunity for the Flames to explore a top 6 option through trade.
