Calgaryboy has been to Calgary twice and has met a number of members on this forum in person including Aeneas who gave him a place to stay on both occasions. He has stated he would love to come back and I have no doubt he would jump at the opportunity if it came up.

True. There was a Jaromir Jagr who got drafted way back in 1990, and did very well in hockey. I wonder if the Flames signed the same guy?

Derek Willis made a really good point on the radio just now.

Jagr isn't any slower than Hudler was on the top line. He might be a better fit up there some people think.

Well, I mean, he had no problem playing first line for over a year with Barkov and Huberdeau so I don't see why he would really struggle should we put him on our own first for stretches this year. I just wouldn't want to wear him out, though I'm sure Jagr knows his own limits very well at this point.

If I played WOW, Jagorim Jarg would definitely be by next character's name.

I was more referring to setting up a GoFundMe page. Seems to a bit of poor taste to set up something like that to give a guy a nice vacation. Just my opinion. If some CP members want to help him out with tickets, accommodation, and flight then I think that's great, but starting up a donation page would be a mistake imo.

LeBrun says besides the Gulutzan connection, Jagr really cherished the chance to play in a Canadian city

Says official signing might be delayed for the following reasons:
1) waiting for Jagr to come over from Europe. Might arrive as late as Wednesday.
2) gives them time to deal with roster issues
3) Canadian Visa work permit

He says the deal HAS BEEN SIGNED, but the Flames are delaying making it official.

I like that Jagr finally is joining a Canadian team. I feel like that just makes his "trip around the NHL complete". And the traveling Jagr's are hilarious.

What makes Jagr the GOAT? I haven't figured that one out yet.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
