Spurs have basically done nothing today, which is disappointing. I hoped that they would load up to at least compete well across four competitions. I mean sure, they brought in Janssen and Wanyama and those look like good buys, but I wish they brought in an attacking midfielder specifically.

Pochettino inquired about Schneiderlin, and Mourinho basically stopped them from proceeding any further. I imagine he has both strategic motivations to the benefit of Spurs, but especially to cause turmoil with United.

Can't believe that I wrote that and didn't wait. Apparently Spurs have matched at 30 million.

So Everton had a private jet ready and a medical booked for Sissoko, but he instead turned his phone off, didn't show up for the jet flight and is now signing for Spurs instead. Lol, you just can't make this #### up.

He had his phone turned off. His phone, not his agent's. On deadline day.
Thats a subtle way of saying you dont want to play for Everton.
How did Spurs get a hold of him? Carrier Pigeon? Skywriter?

Newcastle deserves automatic promotion for getting £60 million for two players who helped get them relegated last year. That is impressive.

Earlier this year when Alex Pritchard transferred from Spurs to Norwich it was due to traffic. He was stuck in traffic on the way to Brighton Hove Albion and Norwich got a hold of him and the rest is history. Ridiculous (although obviously not as impactful as Sissoko)

I read that the Bournemouth medical staff was all fired because he somehow passed a medical! I actually had a bit of a soft spot for Bournemouth up until that signing.

You should be thankful. This is probably the first time you'll see Wilshere playing on a team that can finish below Spurs.

How confident are you that he is actually going to be fit to play though?

The statement you're looking for, is only Spurs could find a way to finish third, in a two horse race.

Yeah Spurs were downright embarrassing to finish third. How'd things go for United again?

really happy with Uniteds business. After all the flailing over the past 3 years, it's been refreshing to have all the targets locked up weeks before the deadline and watch a few other clubs panic in the last few days.
While they weren't active on the transfer market towards the end, they did a lot of reshuffling behind the scenes in order to rebuild the youth structure. Atletico Madrids chief scout Gerardo Guzman has been signed as the new u21 chief scout, while Tottenhams successful u18 head coach Kieran McKenna has been signed for the same position at United. They've also added a few new quality scouts in South American scout Sandro Orlandelli (ex Arsenal), Tommy Moller Larsen (ex Everton) and Roy Beukenkamp (ex PSV). They've basically restructured their whole Academy and youth setup under the guidance of Nicky Butt in the span of just a couple of weeks ... let's see if it's successful.

At least you managed to hang on to Schneiderlin for Europa as well. Has to be very exciting!

So the Derby is played at 5:30am our time tomorrow. (BARF)
Mourinho stated every United player is fit. Probably the same 11 as we've seen.
Ibrahimovich
Martial Rooney Mata
Pogba Fellaini
