Beg to differ. Some of the things that makes Westbrook so good is detrimental to him. His aggressiveness leads to a high turnover rate and being out of defensive position. Still a great player and you couldn't go wrong with either Westbrook and Curry running your team, for me I'd take Curry.

Golden State/Portland has now tied the NBA all time record for most 3 pointers made by both teams combined. Still 5 minutes to go in this one.

Both teams have 18 made.

And the new record is set a minute later.

From Elias: Kevin Durant reached 20 points in his 50th straight game Friday, after doing that in 55 straight games in 2013-14.Durant is the 3rd player in NBA history to score 20 or more points in at least 50 consecutive games in two different seasons (Wilt Chamberlain 3 seasons, Michael Jordan twice).

There is no way to stop Golden State when Curry and Thompson are bombing 3s every time they touch the ball. Unplayable.

The blazers end up with more 3s than golden state yesterday, but were never closer than 14 points in the second half.

So Russell Westbrook almost had a triple double in a half. Too bad it's a 30 point game because he could take a run at a triple 20.

I also can't ####ing believe McDermott is doing it again versus the Raps, he had 36 points his previous 5 games and 29 already tonight....

All I do now is watch the standings and pray the Bulls don't get into seventh. On a positive note Powell is contributing nicely of late.

Yeah, I want nothing to do with the Bulls in the playoffs. Really, the ideal (and very plausible) order for the Raptors is something like:

Cleveland
Toronto
Boston
Miami
Atlanta
Charlotte
Indiana
Chicago

Toronto gets a path of Indiana, then Boston/Charlotte, while Cleveland gets a path of Chicago, then Miami/Atlanta.

Raptors shouldn't take anyone lightly, especially given their playoff history, but if they were able to avoid Cleveland, Miami, Atlanta, and Chicago in the first two rounds (while giving Cleveland probably the toughest possible path to the conference finals), that would be huge.

The Raps did sweep the Wizards in the regular season last year, so I'm not too sure if the fact the Bulls have won all the regular season games this year means much. The Raps have just somehow been on the receiving end of the two best games of Doug McDermott's career when he's a below average player otherwise. I would hope they can find a way to shut him down in a 7 game series.

Raptors with another solid win. Biyombo with a team record 25 rebounds. It's too bad they likely can't keep him around, he seems like a much better fit than Jonas on this team.

He is signed for next year at 3 mill so he's not going anywhere anytime soon. He's been a solid contributor this year. If he keeps it up, they will make room for him.

If he had a just a bit more offensive game he'd be a really good player. He reminds me of Junkyard Dog J Williams on the boards.

Him and Cory Joseph have been both really good UFA signings.

Default Sources: NBA, players union agree to shorten free-agent moratorium

The DeAndre Jordan Rule has found its way into summer free agency.

In the aftermath of the free-agent center’s tortured change-of-heart that led him to return to the#Los Angeles Clippers, the NBA and the players association agreed to shorten the July free-agency moratorium and allow verbal commitments to become signed contracts in a shorter period of time, league sources told The Vertical.

The NBA and union agreed to make an alteration to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, shortening the moratorium this summer to July 1-6, sources said.

Teams were informed with a memo on Thursday evening, sources said.

The CBA had called for the moratorium to run from July 1-11 in 2016.

He owns a player option for next year. Guaranteed to opt out.

Raps did themselves no favor tonight. Bulls win and close in on the Pacers. Think they should have rested DD and KL for this game. Stay away from the Bulls.

The thing is there really are no "easy" potential first round matchups for the Raptors. Everyone from 7-10 presents a different kind of challenge. The reality for the Raps was on display last night, and they mentioned the stat yet again: 31 straight wins when holding opponents under 100 points. I really don't think it matters who they draw if they bring the elite defensive intensity they can bring. If they bring that, they have a legitimate chance to win the East. If they don't, they'll be out in round 1. I don't think the matchup matters too much when comparing Chicago, Indiana, Detroit and Washington. They all present some degree of problem to the Raptors.

If not for that Bulls game, the Raps would be on a 7 game winning streak, including 4 wins in 5 nights. With Boston's slide the division is now locked up, the 2 seed is probably locked up too, and still only 2 games back of Cleveland with 14 to play. Be interesting to see the strategy down the stretch, push for the 1 seed or rest guys and settle for the 2 seed.

Also Spurs-Warriors part 2 tonight. Spurs have won 43 straight at home include 34-0 this year, Warriors have lost 32 straight regular season games in San Antonio. Looking forward to Pop putting out a starting 5 of Patty Mills, Kyle Anderson, Kevin Martin, Boris Diaw and Boban Marjanovic.

With the blowout last neither the blowout last night we got to see a little more of the Raptors real developmental guys. I'm really not impressed with Noguiera at all. I just don't think he'll ever be a decent NBA player. Anyone else think it's time to move on from him and use that spot on someone else?

Big men always take longer to develop, so Noguiera still looks quite raw and probably will for another year at least. I just don't think he'll have the kind of top footwork to be a starter but he can be a good rotation big which you always need. Even if he only ever gives you rebounds and defense, that's all Biyombo gives you too so he can have value for them.

Cavs got destroyed by the Heat last night too, so not only is the #1 seed possibly there to be had, it becomes even more important to avoid a surging Miami team as the #3 seed in the second round. And of course Miami could always beat the Cavs and make the Raps path even clearer.
