No doubt.
Score an OT winner against Vancouver, Johnny. Then you will understand what 'loud' really is.

So awesome that Monahan and Johnny could be on the ice for the empty netter. Gives the young guys a feeling they'll want again and again!
Forever Flames!!!

I still can't believe that they made it. The dome was the loudest I've ever heard it and the red mile was bumpin.

That game was fantastic. I can't get over how much I love this team. I love cheering for them because they're so easy to cheer for. Inspirational.

Today, I feel that I'm going to be hung over in class for all the right reasons this time...

The most surprising thing to me last night was how strong the Flames were in the first.
They knew the Kings were on the ropes and absolutely dominated that first period.
Great chances, decent physical play, and scored 2 to boot.

Wow. What a night.
I was out drinking with a friend, and am sufficiently hung over.
I intended to go to sleep when I returned home, but couldn't do it, so I listened to the game on my phone @ 3 AM.
Wore my jersey to work. Lots of coffee, much tylenol, and proceeded to watch the game. Rewatched the empty net goal and the expiring clock about 30 times—teared up each one.
What a team. What a season. I just never ...

Checked out his twitter last night.
Still bitching that it doesn't matter, the team is no good, and that it's just going to make our GM make stupid decisions like sign another Engelland

Post game quotes from Darryl Sutter
Quote:
On the loss:
We played hard. I got no complaints about anything to do with our team. Give the Calgary Flames lots of credit. Now, I get to pull for them.
On why the team ended up in this position:
I think…probably the disparity in home and road. If you looked at it, if you broke it down into individual stats and probably two or three team stats, there would be a big difference. I think we gave it all we had. We’ve played for a long time here.
On whether all the hockey over the last three seasons took a toll on the team:
I think it probably did. But you know what? We still have a game on Saturday that I want to make sure that we’re ready for and try and that we try and win for our fans at home. We’ve won two championships there. You always want to win your last game.
On how he’d like to see the team “bounce back” from this season:
We want to win on Saturday. That’s what I just said…[Reporter: Over the summer, I meant, going forward, going into next year-] The season’s not over yet, is it?
On the lack of even strength scoring:
I think there’s lots of guys that gave it all they had.

The best part of the empty netter is: even when trying to survive against a relentless LA attack, Russell, Gaudreau, Monahan and Hudler all touched the puck between the turnover and the goal. That goal summarizes the entire year and the theme of "scoring by committee". Have never had that many goosebumps watching an empty net goal.

Gaudreau had very good game, besides that goal he prepared like 3 top scoring chances to his linemates and could have had 4 point night easily. the best thing about this is that he played his best in the game that matters the most.

After watching about a decade of a team that would have almost certainly come out butter soft in the first, it sure is great.
