When I watched Theoren Fleury and Martin StL I was never concerned about the size. They are very wide with heavy build.
Johnny doesn't look as tough.
In terms of pure talent he seems to be like them.

I'm not sure he'll ever have an upper body like those 2 guys but he'll need increased leg strenth to power through the obstruction he'll face as the word gets out on how dangerous he is.

Forget where but I read somewhere Griffin Reinhart tried to nickname him ghost after the world juniors because just when he thought he was going to clobber him he was gone. Very elusive.

Personally I saw bigger teammates today looking smaller than Johnny. Craig Smith was rag-dolled and Colin McDonald got caught a few times...both are over 6ft tall.

I'm thinking the same.
Flames should send Johnny to Garry Roberts for training the moment the tournament is over. I believe this would make a huge impact.

Are we talking about Sven's injury anywhere?

Upper body…concussion?

No point in saying the French had a banner effort during the early days of WW2. But we would've lost World War 1 in short order if France didn't come back from down 3-0 at the Battle of the Marne.

weird, my translation from the article says upper body. Maybe chest was inaccurate so it was altered?

Sven Baertschi, of Russia against his first international game ever played at 0:5, retired in the 2nd period an injury to the upper body. The 21-year-old striker for the Abbotsford Heat (AHL) could no longer be used in the last 20 minutes.

Stephen Whyno @SWhyno
Fine, fine. New #TeamCanada lines: Burrows-Schenn-MacKinnon, Hodgson-Kadri-Brouwer, Chimera-Turris-Read, Huberdeau-Scheifele/Monahan-Ward.

I don't think it is any exaggeration to state that playing Burrows on the top line for Team Canada in a high level international tournament is patently ridiculous. 9/13 forwards there are probably better suited for that role..

Tippett said he would play Monahan and Rielly more this same since they were the 13th and 7th men at their position respectively. He better stay true to his word

Edit: Tippett, not Laviolette ><

If Monahan was an unproven NHLer, fine, 13th forward - I'm OK with that. But this is one of the best rookies in the NHL this past season. Give the kid some ice time. He won't disappoint you.

Any team with Burrows on the top line is destined to fail. Heck, almost every other forward on that team is a better fit on the first line. Terrible decision.

Monahan should play with MacKinnon and Huberdeau IMO.
