He's way too old. They were kids during the LA riots in 1992. The boy would be in his early 30s at most.

There are no words, there is only anger and disappointment.

I think a re-watch of this season will be rewarding.

I tried to remain positive throughout the season but that was fairly disappointing. I think the problem with S2 is they just went too big. Too many characters and plot lines in an 8 episode run. I watched these episodes more than once and even I couldn't keep track of it all. It didn't even feel like they were trying to solve the case. I hope next season they go back to just a handful of characters and keep it focused on the mystery rather than everyone's personal problems.

That season wasn't good. Convoluted plot that didn't even make sense until someone here explained it. Tried way too hard to be edgy with the dialogue, unsuccessfully, and some really really poor acting performances.
Oh well.

I enjoyed the season, but thought that finale was really poor.

Complete opposite. I thought the finale was strong but the season was a big mess.

I didn't mind the finale as much as some here it looks like. I like how they all went out. There wasn't a redeeming character in the bunch. Everyone of them was a degenerate so why tie things up in a pretty bow? (Not that this is what people are complaining about here. My wife is though. She wanted them all to ride off into the sunset.)
I thought it was Vaughn's best "acting" episode. Except for that crap with his wife about wearing a white dress and a white suit...WTF? That was terrible dialogue. No amount of acting chops could have delivered those sappy lines in any real way. Or how about the "He was the best of us" line when they heard Taylor Gambit-guy was dead. Terrible.

I get that you want the story to be interesting, but when it's so all over the place it's impossible to keep track you've kind of blown it.

There wasn't a single episode where I didn't have to google to find out who the hell they were talking about and what relationship they had to people....and yes, I was paying attention.

Further to my post above...I basically didn't know any of this stuff and if takes 4,000 words to explain the plot of an otherwise lackluster TV show, you've completely effed up.

I have a pretty hard time giving this season anything higher than 6.5/10. The writing took a big step back this season, it was a jumbled mess that ultimately made you care very little about anything that was going on, if you could even follow what was going on. It's hard to think a show is good if you don't care about the plot or any of the characters.
Ultimately this season just felt empty, there was none of the intrigue of season 1, and even after getting a decent run going in episodes 6 and 7, they have an overly long, unnecessarily drawn out finale to break that run. It was stylish at times, it had some cool scenes and decent action, and while the dialogue was at times humiliating (blue balls of the heart anyone?), I kinda used it as comic relief even if it was supposed to be taken seriously. It wasn't all poor, but as a total package it just doesn't stack up.
I imagine this season's quality will cause a lot of revisionism of season 1 and whether it was really that good or if we all came in biased towards it because it had two likeable A-list stars and that on second viewing, it wasn't that great either. Guess we'll see.

It wasn't great but it's still better than 90% of network television so I'm not complaining.

I think if anything it solidifies how incredible season 1 is. Making a television series that good is hard to pull off. They caught lightning in a bottle in season 1.

Agreed, she was terrible. Just awful.
Also that finale was an hour and half of hot garbage. I enjoyed most of the season (it was just ok compared to last season) but that finale was really really bad.
