Well I've switched over to mining DogeCoin as well. Price has been pretty stable the past few days with the BTC issues and it has rose steadily over the past while.
Where does everyone convert their DogeCoin to BTC?

I've used Cryptsy to convert to BTC, but lately have used Vault of Satoshi to convert directly to USD.

I'm trying out multipool.us and they have something where they convert for you, though I haven't tried it yet or figured out what they use to convert.
Worth converting it all to BTC? Or maybe leave some in case Doge continues to run up?

My guess is BTC will go back up, but Doge should continue to rise.
Not sure what I'd do besides covert all my LTC to Doge and see what happens.

I guess it doesn't really matter which one you use as long as you covert to whatever you want and move them right back into your wallet.

Especially given the block reward is going to be halved in a few days.

Well, I'm still of the opinion that LTC will go up too, so I don't want to covert everything.

Weird, the pool decided to mine Fedora Coins for a while for some reason, now I have half a million Fedora Coins. Whee?

I use Multipool also, they change to the highest profitable coin so it changes often and you end up with odd coins. The problem is that they are profitable when you are mining them but with so many coins its hard to determine when to sell.

The above is why I like Middlecoin - I am not mining enough, that mining a bunch of random coins and converting them will kill a lot of the profit - this way I am making .012 BTC every day on my one video card - Nothing crazy, but I don't have to do anything, every day it's deposited into my wallet.
As long as BTC remains the gold standard, I am happy to have all my mining convert at the best rates into BTC...
If BTC dries up or LTC/Dodge take over, I'll have to re-evaluate, of course..but for a occasional miner who's using his spare GPU cycles to mine...I can't see a better option?

Is BTC still the gold standard? Silk Road get hacked today and a bunch of BTC were stolen because of an apparent flaw with it.

The Halvening has occurred tonight. We'll see how the market reacts. Definitely seen a small rise the last few days leading into it.

More on the hacking theft of Silk Road 2, 2.7 million in bitcoins stolen. Sounds suspiciously like an inside job.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-26187725
Quote:
An administrator for the site said hackers had manipulated computer code enabling them to withdraw $2.7m (£1.6m) worth of the virtual currency.
It follows similar attacks on two exchanges that trade in bitcoins earlier in the week.
Silk Road 2 is known for selling drugs and other illegal items.
The site is only accessible through Tor, a network that allows users to browse anonymously online. The virtual currency Bitcoin is often used in transactions as it also grants users a degree of anonymity.
The original Silk Road site was shut down by the FBI in 2013 but those behind it said they would start a new site and shortly afterwards Silk Road 2 appeared online.

To me it was expected because it followed the same trend it always did. Got bad news(Mt. Gox not doing payouts anymore) and it dropped. It levelled off, and began climbing again when it got more bad news(Silk Road being hacked) and it dropped again. Levelled off again, and with no more bad news it climbs back up like it always has.
LTC is apparently tied into BTC price. I have no idea why or how, but whatever BTC does, LTC does. Doge has basically been climbing lately, and despite a slight drop, should continue climbing.

Well, every altcoin is tied to BTC to a lesser or greater degree. Its the coin that pretty much defines how confident people are in the entire industry. LTC has shed a lot more value than BTC relative to where they were a month ago, however.

What hash rate are you getting, I'm only going at 1Mh/s but after 3 days have yet to see a payout . . .
NM: I see myself on the list, looks like my rate is lower than I thought

BTC hits $200 on Mt Gox.
Still at $600 on BTC-E who hasn't had a single problem with any of these recent issues plaguing the system.
