The Lakers might be lucky to avoid losing by 20 in each game. The Thunder are supremely motivated, the Lakers are old and tired. I thought OKC would win in 5 but its looking like it might be a ridiculously easy sweep. It seems like its a 3 horse race between San Antonio/OKC/Miami, though I think OKC/San Antonio will be the de facto NBA championship as either should beat Miami.

Good to see the other Lakers respond to Kobe's demand they step up their game. The playoffs aren't like raping someone. He can't do it alone.

Ouch....

Quote:
Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose faces a recovery of eight months to a year from knee surgery. The assessment by Dr. Brian Cole on Tuesday means the star point guard could return around mid-January to early February or miss next season. The doctor added there is a chance Rose could be back sooner, but "we're not going to rush it."

The Bulls had already said Rose has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Cole said there were also two tears in his meniscus cartilage.

As if the NBA wanted to look more fixed than it already is, Dwayne Wade will not be suspended for his blatant cheap shop on Darren Collison at the end of game 2. Of course had it been Collison cheap shotting Wade you can be guarenteed it'd be at least 2 games. "The NBA: Where Wrestling Has More Credibility"

Down 7 to go with 1:50 left, nice 9-0 run to close the game. Thunder win 77-75 and lead the series 2-0 over the Lakers. Nice win Thunder!

Lol Lakers. Thanks for making my night! And with back to back games this weekend the Lakers could be gone by Saturday.

Stay classy ###### bag Laker fans. Saying you want someone murdered and their family is downright pathetic just because someone missed a potential game winning shot on Wednesday night,

I'm really wondering if these aren't the last few games of the Dwyane Wade era in Miami here. The Heat will definetely need to trade either him or LeBron in the offseason because they are too redundant and they need to better fill out their roster, and while LeBron would net a bigger haul, I think Wade is on the faster decline at this point, as last nights debacle showed. I think Bosh is going nowhere because his importance, as at least a change of pace compared to Wade/James, has shown these last two games.

But Miami needs a real PG and better roles players. Perhaps trade Wade to Philly for Iguodala, Lou Williams and Thad Young. But I think the Heat won't be getting a sniff of a title until their roster is more complete and balanced.

Heat are a bunch of wussies, but there is no way they're going to deal Wade or Lebron in the off-season. They'll give them another go, and there seems to always, ALWAYS, be an endless number of schmucks willing to go on that team just for the sake of winning a championship (as opposed to winning it the hard way by joining a not-so-stacked team). I'd guess that even if they do get knocked out, they'll maintain their roster for the most part, and get an established vet through trade or signing, but they'll keep their core, no doubt.

Good to see the Lakers brought their own refs tonight.

Some very favorable calls for them in the 4th.

Group of guys in Vegas needed Lakers -2.5 for last leg of parlay and you just knew it was going to happen the way the reffing was going the last 5 mins.

I'd imagine last nights refs are on their way to Indiana to help get Miami back on level terms. I really cannot wait for Stern to retire, though obviously one of his cronies might take over afterwards.

Haha the Clippers were up by 24 points early in the second quarter, now they are losing early in the third.

Man the NBA is stupid, there is no such thing as a safe lead. I would have taken any bet that the Spurs would have led this game at some point.

I will give the Lakers credit for winning a close game 3 and then showing fight in game 4. Too much Westbrook and Durant though. Those guys are insanely good. OKC is just the better team. After being down double digits in the 4th, I am surprised the game ended how it did. I don't think the Lakers play another game at Staples this year.

Thunder-Spurs could be a great series...or a Spurs steamrolling. They are such a machine right now, and of course ESPN wishes they don't exist. San Antonio right now is as good a team as I can remember since Lakers in 2001 when Shaq was at his peak.

Love him or hate him, Lebron carried the Heat on his back today. What a performance. Series tied 2-2.
