Drafted C Logan Couture, $1,242,000. A bit of a risk I think. ~1M for a second line centre seemed like good value though.
EDIT: I should have said "a 30 goal scoring second line centre".

I gave him a thought or two myself, but simply couldn't say no to Skinner.

edited my pick to Boyle as for some reason I skimmed over Chara on the roster list.

OT: didn't know where else to put this, but it's worth hearing.
On a chat some of us were predicting standings our west and east finals predictions etc.. Also we predicted who would win the Art Ross and one guy said Burrows. He was dead serious about it too. Then he laughed at me when I said Pens would finish 2nd. He says with or without Crosby they miss the playoffs. I mean i would love it if Burrows won the Art Ross, but I mean c'mon maan. One of his reasonings was Sedins both won so it's his turn. But I think the Oilers have a better chance of going 98-0 then Burrows does winning the Art Ross.

Really tough decision with this pick. Thought Stewart was going to fall to me for sure. Went with Backes instead due to his age, flexibility (C or RW) and his ability to play in all three zones. His cap hit is a little high for me at 4.5, but he's signed for five more years during his peak years. Not too bad for a top line RW or very good 2nd line C.

I'm happy no one has put us in a spot where we have to force Luongo on them

Swayze11 was online an hour ago, so hopefully he's aware his pick is up around now... I suspect he knows, so he'll likely avoid Luongo as well.

Once we put in the rule I think people know Luongo is the 1st player that goes so they will have no problem reaching the 2 hour time limit. I do have a feeling that Luongo ends up the Kings or Canucks. I have no problem taking him if the goalies I am eyeing go soon.
